Ladies, please be safe and come here with someone you absolutely trust and have known for awhile. This is not a good place to go when first meeting someone or on a first date. This place does not care the least about your well-being. I was a frequent customer at this establishment and have been numerous times since last year and this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me here. I have recommended this bar to multiple people and have brought them new customers but this will never happen again and I will warn all of my friends as well. This restaurant is a fantastic experience. It is a popular spot loved by locals, but don't hesitate to visit as an out-of-towner. It's the kind of bar you'll be reminiscing about for months after visiting Birmingham. I practically came here every night during my recent trip to town. I made new friends and enjoyed some great canned brews. It's a fun and enjoyable place to be.
I had an amazing experience exploring Mom's Basement! The staff was fantastic and the frozen drinks were delicious...not to mention the heartwarming concept of paying tribute to mothers! The retro decor truly transports you back to the 70s...a nostalgic trip down memory lane!

It truly is like your cool friends basement. Wood paneling, vintage couches, and photos of moms from the customers. The bartenders are friendly and usually have a cool movie playing at the bar. There's also a side patio which is great for relaxing with friends
