We dine out every day, we love our food! We frequented this restaurant until we had a couple of bad experiences. We decided to try it again as it really was very special when we first started dining there. On a positive note the meals were very tasty, coffee was exceptional and service was much better this time around, however the servings are smaller and we were still hungry after 4 plates between the 2 of us so we asked for the dessert menu. After deliberating for a while we ordered and were told our choice wasn't available as the menu was being changed in a few weeks. This is the third time this has happened to us here and I just wish the waitress could tell us when handing us the menu, o...
I really didn't feel like making my own eggs and coffee yesterday...what to do?? Grab my rice milk and go to Monsoon!The huge velvety rice milk latte soothing my jagged edges, I sat at a shady table outside. There was lots of chatter but it didn't really intrude, I could bury myself in the free newspapers and use the free wifi to check email, play my Word Chums while munching just-right GF toast. My 2-egg omelette was perfect! We jazzed it up with the last of the rice milk (I wouldn't have done that at home, and the texture was lovely). Best of all was the chives - freshly snipped from the herb garden bordering the tables! The splash of green against against the delicate yellow was so pretty...
Beautiful freshly cooked selection of tapas, loved the calamari, the tacos and Korean chicken. The live music was excellent and just the right volume to enjoy dinner conversation and add perfectly to the wonderful atmosphere. Reasonably priced bottles of wine and a great selection. Love that Monsoon is tucked out of the way from the main row of restaurants and has the most delicious selection. Can't wait to go back again to enjoy more on offer on the menu, it's so hard to choose. Excellent service too, made so welcome for our first visit.
Casual night means the plan is to hit monsoon! Famous menu item would have to be the crumbed Camembert! Also managed to order the polenta squares, honey chilli prawns, mixed taco plate and Korean street chicken! We were fortunate enough to have great conversation with our hostess Tammy and were met with equal amount of hospitality when our chef for the night, Nick. (who was very passionate and enthusiastic about the food and service that he was able to provide). We will definitely be back. Thanks guys!

Monsoon's is just fantastic all round awesome breakfast, lunch and Dinner(tapas). Monsoon also offer Catering for weddings, home parties or whatever you fancy. My partner and I try to visit as often as we can because you can't live without good food:) and this is one of our favorite's with live guitarist on Friday nights its easy to sit back with a glass of wine, great food and some great tunes. Highly recommend! So pop down and see Craig and his friendly staff
This restaurant offers a nice variety of foods for breakfast and lunch. Especially love the Tappas menu in the evening. It is a very small restaurant tucked away from the street on Grice Ave, but you can't miss it..it's next to the Post Office. The only draw back is the BYO charge is $5 pp. That should not be for this type of restaurant and location.
I have been to Monsoon on several occasions. On every visit I have been greater by the friendly staff, enjoyed a **** good coffee and chowed down on some delicious food. It's an absolute favourite and will be back many times in the future. Keep up the good work Monsoon!
If you want a relaxing beautiful and filling breakfast to go to then i suggest you come here! My wife and i frequent this lovely restaurant alot on a sunday and it never lets us down and to top it off I haven't found a better coffee on the Gold Coast

Perfect food and friendly staff make for a very nice lunch. Try the barramundi, tastes great. Prices are quite reasonable for the area.
