Dined here for the first time last weekend with friends. As other reviewers have already said, the restaurant is pretty small & an awkward shape. We were there on a Saturday night at 7pm and it was packed. There are a few small tables outside but it was a freezing night so most people were inside. It is loud and quite cramped. It is also BYO and self-service, to the point where you go and help yourself to wine glasses etc. I don't have a huge problem with ordering at the counter as it makes split billing much easier.I had initially thought about trying one of their pasta dishes but upon querying their contents, I was told they all contained dairy in the sauces & meatballs etc, which was not...
After hearing that this was the best pizza in Perth, we simply had to try it out. I had great expectations and those were met in terms of three quality of dough. The stretchy and crunch crust really hit the spot. Where I thought tee pizza was average was with the tomato Piere used on the Margherita pizza we ordered. The mozzarella cheese too wasn't great. All in all a good pizza but not the best in Perth. When we called for a reservation for Saturday night they said sorry booked out and same for Sunday. we dined with friends on a Sat.night - picked this restaurant after review in Sat.West.we thought we had found the perfect place to eat, warm & friendly inside. we were early - 5.45pm. after 6pm it filled up and the noise level with it. we had a party of 10 young people next to us - and to make themselves heard - had to shout from one end of the table to the other. we had no conversation with our meal and left immediately after eating. the acoustics need to be addressed. needless to say, we would not return due to this factor.pizza was average - and maple syrup on top of Hawaiian pizza does not work. my pappardelle carbonara was tasty, as was the Panzanella salad - but all this was overshado...
Went to this delightful little Italian Restaurant the other night with some Friends for the first time and was pleasantly surprised.Not a big menu by any means but if you love Pizza check this place out. Ours were tasty with a crispy thin base to our liking. It can be very noisy and crowded but if you get there early with the quick efficient service they provide you can be in and out before the after work crowd arrives and on your way home with a full tummy and feeling ready to park yourself in front of your home fire to finish off the bottle of red that you had taken with you. We have seen this new pizza cafe for months now and always a crowd outside. Tried to get a booking but fully booked. This time we called in and ordered 2 large takeaway pizzas and a Capresi salad. Order took about 40 minutes as cafe was packed. The wait was worth it as close to the best pizzas ever. Next time will have to book for table service.
Read great reviews about this place so thought we'd try it out. Vibe was relaxed and comfortable and the pizzas were excellent. Just thought they were a little overpriced at $23 and $24 for the ones we had, should have been around $16-$18 for what they were but very good nevertheless.
If I lived locally I would be here once a week. It is busy (the tables move quickly), efficient, friendly, warm, casual and delicious. Love the service, the pizza box colouring for kids (big & little) and the food is brilliant! BYO makes this an absolute winner.
