We've been to Montano's before & wanted to support a local small business whilst the railway works cause havoc in Bayswater. A normal 10 minute trip took over 50 minutes, so we were pretty committed to getting there. Unfortunately, once we got there we were in for a further wait. Two staff behind the counter chatting, other staff behind the scenes working & a young girl & one of the owner managers serving. Waited at the counter for nearly 15 minutes before being acknowledged & order taken. Didn't want to eat in as set out is quite claustrophobic & didn't want to inhale any more of construction dust as we ate. Got take out drinks & pastries. Stopped in for breaky. Partner had pie and sausage roll he said pastry was good but pie was delivered to our table cracked and fillings were average. I had pancakes which were very nice cooked fresh by the wait and the taste. Was lovely. Just would have been better if our food was delivered at the same time for us to eat together. Not 10 mins apart. Cakes all looked fantastic. Customer service reasonable but could improve.
Was blown away by the quality of the cakes and the huge selection of small and large cakes ready to go. Everything is made on the premises! Great place for lunch or catch up with friends . I had an amazing home made chunky beef pie followed by an amazingly smooth blend coffee and a selection of small sweets ! A must visit. My new place for coffee and cake !
I dont know what they are actually called but please don't waste your money. $8.50 for a big cookie milkshake to actually taste like nothing except frothy cream. Bland and boring. My husband had the big rocky and his was the same flavour bland. Dont waste your time. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
cakes for special occasions or just as a better than average occasional or daily treat, this cafe has far better than average cakes and pastries and has a reputation locally as far better than average
All the cakes breads and slices are delicious. We even love the meat pies...very homely. Great large cakes for a special occasion. Just give it a try. Yum!!
This Cafe is totally divine the light meals are great - but there huge range of cakes is totally amazing and totally delicious - well worth trying

Our cycle group stopped here for morning coffee. Several of our party had cakes and all found them to be very good.
