Eating at Mother India is like being welcomed into someone 's home. There are different rooms to the 'house ' our area had about 17 diners. The restaurant was busy and also seemed to be doing a roaring trade with takeaway orders which may have been the reason for us having to wait a while for our orders to be taken, .It 's not a fine dining experience and the plates we were given didn 't match, but to be honest that for us added to the quirkiness of place. Our server was absolutely lovely, friendly and discouraged us from over ordering e.g. rice and paratha indicating what would be enough for our party of 4 (she was right). Absolutely amazing food and service. Only picked up take away for a lazy sunday and am so glad we tried mother india! Only waited an extra 15 mins and the staff we so apologetic. We didnt mind waiting at all but they still threw in lots of complimentary extras. All mains are GF which is perfect for me as a coeliac. All dishes were devine! We couldn't believe the generous amount of perfectly cooked spanish macky in the goan fish curry. It will definately be a regular for us now. Winderful freo gem. Well done mother india!
Such good food in a casual home like venue. Had the poppadums with katchumber, mango chutney and the chilli mint dip. They were all great. The mixed starter was nice but not too fussed on the samosa. The Goan curry with prawns was the dish I chose which medium heat. So delicious. Garlic naan had good flavour. My friend had the chicken madras and found it too hot but it is a very hot curry. Furthermore, BYO no corkage. Came to 105 bucks for the 3 of us. Can’t wait to go back :
We went as a group of four, and everyone agreed that all the dishes were fantastic. If you plan on dining here, it's recommended to make a reservation as it's a popular spot. They also do a lot of orders through Uber Eats, so it can get busy. This place deserves more than a 5.0! The food is absolutely out of this world. I have struggled to find authentic Indian flavours that haven’t been dulled down or tweaked. Mother India absolutely nails the flavours, and use good quality meat (and don’t rip you off). The restaurant itself mirrors someone’s living room so I’d recommend taking away! I’ll be back again and again.
This is the best Indian restaurant I have discovered in Perth in a long time. The staff are extremely friendly and the portion sizes are generous. The taste is exceptional and authentically Indian, without being altered for Western tastes. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat.
The authentic curries at this restaurant are fantastic, and the relaxed atmosphere adds to the experience. Focusing on the delicious flavors, this place has a promising future if they maintain their current standards.
The rice pullao smelled very nice. Wasnt the biggest fan of the dalcha. Chicken curry was good and the dhal was average. I had take aways so cant say much about the place in general. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Arghhhh! This is THE best Indian food I've had in Perth!!! If you're a first timer for takeaway, be patient if you don't get through on the first call it's worth persevering for!!!
