We ordered subs from the Arthur Street location, but unfortunately, 2 out of the 4 were completely incorrect. The toppings and condiments were all mixed up on the wrong sub, and they even used the wrong type of bread. I reached out to Dell to explain the situation and discovered that he was the manager at the Memorial store, not the Arthur Street location. Nevertheless, he kindly offered to remake the subs at his store and send them out to us right away. I was really impressed with his customer service. Even though the mistake wasn't made at his location, he handled it quickly, and we received fresh subs in no time. Thank you, Dell—5 stars for you!
I've always had great service and food at this restaurant, but tonight was a different experience. The manager, or whoever she was, was quite rude. We ordered a classic sub, but it came with no meat, and when we brought it to her attention, she claimed it was a problem with Skip the Dishes. Apparently, they are responsible for making the food as well as delivering it? I miss the male manager who knows how to handle customer interactions and is genuinely pleasant to talk to. Unfortunately, after this encounter, I no longer feel like ordering from here, and I didn't even get her name because she refused to provide it.
Every time I visit this location, the service is excellent. Last week, a team of three guys kept everything moving smoothly, serving with smiles and engaging in friendly conversation while preparing our subs. Today, on February 27, 2024, around 7 PM, two ladies provided outstanding service with friendly attitudes and a strong team spirit, ensuring we received quick and pleasant service. This is my favorite sub place in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Keep up the great work, staff at Mr. Sub on Memorial Avenue!
I just watched an employee butcher every step of making a simple sub. I've never seen somebody have such a hard time making food. I assume she is high as a kite...but who knows. After watching that ordeal, I don't even want to eat this mess of a sandwich, fearing how unhygienic it might be.Her co-workers acted like this was a normal thing.I should have just walked away and save my money. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and approachable, which is hard to come by these days. It's rare to find a place where you can share a laugh with the employees. I give it five stars and will definitely return!
Great food and exceptional, friendly service. It's refreshing to be in a lively and cheerful place. They manage the lunch rush with impressive teamwork. This is my favorite fast-food spot!
