This little kitchen produces some of the best food I've had anywhere in the world, and is worth planning ahead for the drive to little downtown Fergus. On our most recent trip we had the hot pot dinner for two, and like the best hot pots the broth was amazingly flavourful with top notes, then deeper flavours. Included in the price of dinner were several starters, including a to die for short rib with kimchi plus a spicy eggplant dish. The experience really is like visiting a friend for dinner, more than dining in a restaurant, as Chef Allan offers a limited drinks roster just like at home, and is happy to visit at the table with the guests in between preparing and serving the dishes. An excellent birthday dinner, carefully prepared with top quality ingredients. Had the octopus which was really good. The chef here is really concerned with the product he produces and it shows. This restaurant deserves more local support, it is different and well worth a visit.

Creative, unique as well as very favorable lunch. The owner is truly in the "kitchen", since he takes your order, prepares you meal, and serves you. It is a small but very clean and quite delightful environment.
A small restaurant with great food. The menu is updated very often and is always fresh. I had a grilled salmon and it was excellent. I would recommend this spot.
I haven't been to this restaurant in 20 years because they closed all the locations in Vancouver's lower mainland. However, it's just as good as I remember.
