Have been dining at Mystic Fish since '99 and can never remember not being quite pleased with the experience until last evening!!! We had out of town guests who themselves dined here frequently prior to relocating out of state. Mystic Fish was one of their favorites and they specifically asked if we would reserve a table there when they were visiting!! Well it wasn 't what they recalled nor was it what we expected. The service was fine (Tim) albeit a bit slow due to kitchen backup. The apps were delicious (lobster escargot and crab stuffed artichoke hearts) but the mains were an issue. Three had their favorite hogfish but it was definitely not to their liking. Two of the three left more than...
Dining partner and I both had the Hogfish special, a seasonal fav of mine. It's done really nicely here with light breading and butter sauce. Pre entree she had good lobster bisque. I enjoyed sumptuous fresh oysters with wonderful mignonette sauce and lemon. Waiter Tim was attentive and ran immediately for my hot sauce upon request. This place is typically busy but there's no better celebratory atmosphere.
Our server Mya was excellent. She was kind, helpful and just plain nice. She offered suggestions but was not pushy... the food she suggested was amazing. I would go back again and again... Overall a fantastic dinner experience. Mystic Fish is a hidden gem.
Our server John was fabulous. Very personable and friendly. We definitely request him in the future. Meals were good, but scallops in pasta were a little mushy. Great bottle of wine. Loved the vibe and decor. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Bread was amazing, goat cheese spring rolls great and hogfish was great, the only thing we felt was over priced was the lobster escargot, although very tasty.
Excellent food and staff, scallop melt in your mouth as well as chicken, shrimp and boneless ribs
