This place has truly become a typical tourist trap. As a local we still want the food and service to be good. The manager on duty is very curt with black people but very friendly to other patrons and she is black herself! She is very short with us anytime we have been there during her shift. It never fails, she does it EVERY time we have tried to support their business. The salad I was given had grilled chicken that was dry as a desert and when I had them take the chicken back, I was left with a whole lot of iceberg lettuce and three tomatoes, a few cubes of cucumber and that was it. Visited this fine establishment on 8/7/2024 . I've lived 20 mins from here for over 20 yrs and finally going in to try them and I frequent the square. Gladly it didn't disappoint. The building is themed just like the shows fimled here very clean and nice. The staff from the host to the servers were friendly and accommodating . The food was good we had three appetizers consistenting of the chicken and waffles, the fried pickles and fried green tomatoes all were delicious! Our entrees were a veggie burger, a grouper sandwich, fried chicken sandwich and a clocktower burger . This place is pretty inside. It doesn’t look anything like the show but still cool. It’s just like a fancy grill restaurant. The foods basic but well done and definitely cost more than usual. The best part is the old building and all the signatures up the stairs. If you like fried pickles they had some of the best ones I’ve ever had! Fun place but always packed. We tried a couple times before we actually was able to eat there due to looooonnngg wait times. An we haven’t been back because it’s like a nostalgia one time spot. It’s not worth the hassle to go again.

My husband and I finally ate here for the first time today and were glad we did. Food was amazing. We really enjoyed it and will be back again. This is a must try. Not just for the food but also for the tours. TVD will always be the heart of Covington.
The service was great. My girlfriends and I had a great time. We were the only ones that had never watched Vampire Diaries we went because the food choices looked great. Then realized after we were there why it was do popular lol
They have the best food! Been there many times and have never been disappointed by the food or the service. Their grouper sandwich is amazing! Definitely worth a trip to Covington, GA! Enjoy!
