This is a straightforward Japanese restaurant without any unnecessary frills. The sashimi was quite fresh, and I was happy to wait by the boardwalk for it to open. I would have preferred my shrimp tempura to be served separately rather than in the udon, as that seems to be a common restaurant choice. The sashimi deluxe was excellent, and all the fish tasted fresh, although there were quite a few pieces of artificial crab, which felt a bit excessive. The staff cleaned the tables quickly and frequently. I would definitely visit again.
Long Beach really needed a quality high-end sushi restaurant, and this place delivers! It's fun, well-managed, and offers a great selection of beer, wine, and a full bar. The wait service is excellent, and the food is outstanding, featuring some unique items on the menu in addition to the classic options. The pricing is also quite reasonable. There's a full sushi bar with seating available. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, but the interior is very nice. Every time I visit, it seems to get better. Highly recommended!
Had a wonderful dinner with my Gf. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls, soup and some appetizers and were happy with everything! Fish quality was good and fresh. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the food came at a reasonable time at our table, although the place was very busy. Will come back, highly recommended.
Best sushi on LI. It would be nice if they were delivered. It says they deliver, that's a lie. Every time I have called for delivery, they say it will be two hours or it will be over an hour and a half or it will be a very long time. That means no, they don't deliver. Too bad. The best sushi and Japanese cuisine in Long Beach! For an authentic experience, I highly recommend sitting at the bar and chatting with the talented sushi chefs!
The food was good, but it’s overhyped, and the wait times for pickup can be absurd. However, the service was excellent. The interior could use some updating.
