Me and my brother fancied a pint after competing in a Ping Pong tournament nearby (Doubles . We saw the Union Jack flags and bunting outside and decided to go in. Proper old school place. Welcoming atmosphere, real working man's, Brexit voting, salt of the earth, Tiger drinking, hard as nails yet soft as a puppy type place. We got talking to some fella at the bar, said his name was Arthur but we could call him Art. He told us all about his life. All about his wife Susan, his pet bulldog Alfred and his late friend Bob. A lovely little spot. I went in and asked for a pint of Heineken, before an elderly gentleman named Bob interjected telling me to “stay away from that nasty Eurofizz” and advised I try Tiger Ale. I preceded to buy a pint of Tiger for myself and one for Bob who turned out to be a truly charming local, who, would you know, is an ex serviceman who served in Northern Ireland and the height of the Troubles (very dangerous! although he didn’t like to talk about it, a very modest chap. I and my friends were through enderby on the way to home from a business trip to leicester when we stopped at this place, we were amazed and jealous of our own natives were not so. the pub has an excellent brexit. atmosphere with union jackets around the walls dotted all year round, while also some quality pints of tiger. after a few drinks have entertained me and my friends with some older natives called bob and arthur. I can say that these chaps are an absolute compliment to the nags head and we have been entertaining for hours and after some digs I could find that bob is served in military at the height of the hardships in northern Ireland, the worst time to be there. Cracking traditional English pub. Very much enjoyed the atmosphere and my visit was made all the better by the presence of an elderly local named Bob, who is evidently a regular. Bob is so humble, and an absolute gentleman, and we talked for hours about the need for a granite Brexit as well as his time in the forces. I visited this pub today during a business trip and met a kind man named Bob. He served in Northern Ireland during a difficult time but was humble about his experience. The decorations in the pub, with Union Jacks on the ceiling, added to the atmosphere. Here's a picture of my friend and me after having drinks. Bob, who has a military background, kindly took the photo for us.
I had a great pint of Tiger beer at this pub, recommended by a retired military man named Bob. I chatted with Bob and his friend Arthur for an hour. Bob told me about his early morning workout routine, which I found inspiring. The pub had a great atmosphere and I loved seeing the England flags displayed around the bar. It made me proud to see them.
visits here for a family wedding reception. very impressed by barman who remembered my order when I went to the second round. superb buffet food placed on the outside. would definitely recommend anyone who wants to book a reception / party in a family-friendly environment.

glad that a good old friendly pub still goes, we go here on a pub crawling all couple months, we have only one pub in our village, also their drinks are cheaper xxx
