Always a good time when you're pretty drunk in Royal Oak. Considering that it's not off the strip, it's still pretty slammed. Get there before 2AM if you don't want to wait for a seat, or go on a day that isn't a bar night. Unlike most Coneys, National does not have Lemon Rice Soup as a menu staple. The food is very nicely priced and comes out incredibly fast, which is a huge bonus. It's a place to go when you're hanging out with friends, so bring lots. They've expanded their menu lately, so they're not just the typical coney staples anymore.
I have been coming to this location since the nineties. Every visit is rock solid. I came in here on Thanksgiving Day, and they were open until two. So I saddled up to the counter and ordered up Chicken and Chips and lemon Rice Soup with Tea. I don't recall the lady working the counter but she was awesome. Great customer service. Ingot my food its was good. I don't think that I have ever had a bad experience here.
I used to think that their food was the best part dining at National Coney Island. But tonight I saw that the employees enjoy themselves while they're working. With masks on even the cooks were singing along with the overhead music and having a truly good time
They have been great with the curbside pickup. I like how the guy tapes the straws to the cups. Sometimes it gets stuck in the cup holder in my car, but I like having the straw ready to go.
Nice fast service. Waitress wore a mask and people were sat in every other booth. Also sat so there was no one directly across from us. I got a grilled chicken salad and it was delicious
The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is highly professional.
