Nem Kitchen has moved into an already set up restaurant, it's all the same fixtures and fittings of the previous restaurant (which was fantastic). I'm not sure how they seemed to have messed it up. With little touches they could make it great. Give your customers napkins instead of a box of kleenex on the table. Take the dirty mops out of the restaurant, and what the hell is that big white domestic fridge doing in the dining area? Or the dirty tea towels laid out on a table to dry.Also, the beautiful lights are already there for you, why do you insist on having the bright down lights on??On a positive note, the food is tasty, service and presentation just need some work
During my recent visit, I tried the Hot Noodle soup and vegetarian spring rolls. The spring rolls were tasty but a bit pricey for the portion size. They were wrapped in a vermicelli-style noodle pastry, making them lighter and crispier than traditional spring rolls. The Hot and Spicy soup was delicious, especially with the pork slices that were similar to polony or mortadella. They added a nice flavor to the soup. I've also tried their pho and other dishes while working in the area, and they have all been enjoyable. If you're looking for Vietnamese food in the area, this place is worth a try, although it may be a bit expensive for regular lunches or dinners.
little known, and hidden in "waterloo" suburb ,3 mn from the CBD in Sydney, this gem is well frequented by discreet,well healed or not...locals.I went back 3 nights in a row, as if you find great food in Sydney...you stick by it !!! very fresh food served by gentle ,involved and caring staff....with very humble prices to boot, which makes it very busy....fresh herbs...fresh salads...home made garlic and chili,clear, oil on the table,meats seared at high temperature for the right time...lessons could be learnt by 10 time more expensive restaurants....hospitality at its humble best !
Not much open in Danks St Waterloo area on a Monday. With So. 9 closed, Nem Kitchen got its chance and did well.The very few reviews so far are pretty much spot on. Food is good, décor is that of a cheap eats place rather than a dining experience worthy of the food quality.Quick and pleasant service, reasonable wine list, fresh and well prepared food.Highly recommended for people who focus on the eating side of dining. We decided to try out a few dishes from UberEats and were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the crispy chicken on tomato rice with chicken soup, which was wonderfully seasoned and delicious. We also tried the chicken pho noodle soup, which was very generous and satisfying. Overall, we were impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Yum!
eat here at least twice a week, fresh tasty food, excellent service, value for money. the Pho is delicious and is a large serving, The BBQ pork rice paper rolls are delicious and full of flavour with the peanut sauce. Pork chop vermicelli salad is full of flavour and textures.
The restaurant offers delicious and fresh food with amazing flavors. It was a pleasant surprise. The location is easy to find and there is ample parking available. The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant for families as the prices are reasonable.

Tried the pork belly dish which was very tender and flavoursome and the squid was very tasty too! Very excited to finally find a Vietnamese restaurant near home that does the Viet food so beautifully! Can't wait to go back and try more dishes!
