We've been coming here for years, and we've learned to navigate some issues that more or less impacted our enjoyment of the restaurant: availability of parking, length of wait, language barrier, etc. We solved all that by making sure that if we came during the weekend, we'd arrive before 9:30am. That way, there is virtually no wait for a table and parking is plentiful. The dim sum selection is expansive and without a menu. Ladies come around with their carts and you point out what you want. We love everything we get. We stick to our favorites pork spare ribs, sticky rice in leaves, shumai, hargow, chicken feet, taro puffs, etc. The taste has always been consistent, so we have no complaints a...

As the traditional dim sum push carts is following the disappearing trend, especially post-pandemic, it is a pleasant surprise to still find restaurants still offering this type of service and dining experience. I was here today, because of a disappointing experience at Rio's KJ's (I used to have a very high opinion of that Vegas dim sum establishment), and wanted to try some reliable dim sum in SoCal. The establishment is currently finishing up their interior renovation, and it looks great. My sister-in-law commented about how nice it looks to one of the staff. Their wine display looks very nice. Service is decent to good. The food is tasty. The craftsmanship of the dim sum is very average...
First of all, the service is quick. No menus, its old school style dim sum carts coming by the table. Each cart w steaming dim sum. The food is hot and fresh. The Pork/Shrimp Shu Mai was delicious. Meat was over flowing and simply seasoned not to cover the flavor of the meat. Pork ribs were delicious. Meat was slightly sweet and meat fell off the bone. The ribs were more boney w some meat. I am not sure what else I had because of a language barrier. One dish was shrimp in steamed rice rolls. Which was simple and good. I used the dipping sauce on the table since there was more rice roll ratio to shrimp. The rice noodle/wrap is plain tasting. Another dish was chicken feet. Ive had chicken feet...
Very good. This restaurant is a great spot; my friends and I went to enjoy some dim sum in the morning, just a few hours before noon. The wait can be a bit frustrating, as there are often crowds of people waiting to be seated. The interior is quite spacious, although they do pack in a lot of diners. The spacing between tables is minimal, just wide enough for the carts to navigate through. The staff pushing the carts definitely take their time getting around. I've seen some customers approach them directly to request a stop at their table or to grab food themselves. Tea and used plates are refilled and cleared promptly. However, asking for ice water or additional sauces can take a little long... Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Super bad service and quality of food. We ordered from the cart and they kept telling us it was fresh and hot but then when we bit into the food, it was cold. Almost like it was from the fridge, barely heated up. But that's fine, main thing that was bad was we asked them if the food is hot beforehand and they kept trying to convince us it was. The dumpling skin fell apart when trying to pick it up and didn't seem fresh at all. The food just didn't taste good at all for even the hot stuff. The stir fry vegetables were also so oily, I had to dip them in tea to get the excess oil off. The service was also bad, we kept waving people over but everyone ignored us. I was in the middle of eating fro...
It was Mother's Day, so it was time to indulge! We enjoyed the usual Chinese seafood dinner with all the familiar favorites. A meal like this can be quite pricey. We had two tables with the same dishes, and the total for our food came to around $950. With tips, our final bill was about $1,150. However, you do get what you pay for. The piglet felt a bit overpriced; it cost us about $350, while the wholesale price is around $100. Of course, the restaurant has to cover its expenses, including rent and salaries. In the end, it was an enjoyable experience since we only do this a few times a year to make my mom happy, and that’s what really matters. The end.
I have been going to New Capital for years! Their dim sum is legit...like old school legit! I'm half Canto so I have the credentials, lol! The good 1. Shumai OMG, if it isn't exploding in pork, then that's not shumai! 2. Tendon No one does this anymore!?! Every coworker and friend who has tried this loves the flavors! 3. Football No, not actual football. Lol, they just look like it. Filled with pork and other yummy filling; they are just delicious! I love Dim Sum and always encourage it! I am glad New Capital still has the OG push carts! Experience it while you can! If you are still reading this...my list of what dim to eat goes much longer!
Attended a wedding that had a banquet here for the reception. The staff was great (efficient, quick, clean), the food was good. However: The menu for the evening clearly states that no foods contain nuts (the bride has a nut allergy) and that the oil used was not peanut oil. When the fried rice comes out at the end, it's topped with peanuts! Really makes you question their allergen safety if they can make that obvious of a mistake and not catch it. Also the bathroom was pretty small for a restaurant of that size, with a paper towel dispenser right above a urinal and the other paper towel rolls just sitting on the bathroom counter Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
It’s no wonder this place is always packed. It has freshest seafood and great service. We had a banquet last night and it didn’t disappoint. The huge lobster was fresh and it was made into a salad with fresh fruits. It was fresh and tasty. The duck was prepared with a fried bun and a slice of apple, again very tasty. It was a very creative way of serving Peking duck. Then there was the king crab that we had the kegs steamed and the rest was cooked with egg, which was my favorite. The service was so attentive that my wine glass and tea cup was never empty. It was one of the best seafood feast I had in recent years
Delicious food and affordable price. Special price for lobster $6/lb.
