We were warmly greeted by Nala and the restaurant owner, which immediately made us feel at home. The hospitality of the staff leads us to give this restaurant a 5-star rating. We opted for the buffet which offered a wide variety of options for both vegetarians and meat-eaters, with the dishes being kept separate. Every item we sampled was fresh, hot, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. It was evident that the restaurant maintained a high level of quality for their buffet offerings. Throughout our meal, Nala and the staff checked on us regularly, bringing naan bread and pakora to our table. Their kindness really stood out to us. We highly recommend this fantastic restaurant! Like most Indian restaurants, this establishment offers a variety of vegan options such as veggie korma, samosa chaat, and roti bread - all delicious vegan dishes! I believe that if they were to label their vegan offerings with a symbol, they would attract even more customers. The prices here are more reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants in San Rafael. This is definitely a place I would recommend! One unique aspect of this restaurant is that their mint sauce served with samosas is dairy-free, making it a great option for vegans. Overall, an excellent dining experience.
I had a bad experience at this restaurant. Two things were wrong – the samosas were drowned in sauce, soggy, and completely mushy. The rice they served was also incorrect and the portions were small for the high price. The peas were obviously from a can. I won't be returning.
The Butter Chicken Makhani and Paneer Tikka Masala are superb. Cheese Naan so soft and gooey. Piping hot entrees are balanced with spice, sweetnesses, and a gentle kick of heat.
