It Was Mothers Day and we had a Booking for Pm . We arrived on time and found the Restaurant almost full and very Busy . The Regular Waitress was handling everything on her own as in Batemans Bay just about every Restaurant ..Cafe have signs up in the Window wanting Staff and can't get them . So we were quite happy to be patient and to enjoy our evening . Although she was on her own and having to deal with all of the Tables , Takeaway orders , Serving Food Drinks clearing Tables , she managed it all , People need to understand and be patient . She took our order within minutes and we had our bottle of Wine a couple of minutes later . She was flat out but never Fluster and handled everything...
We had a reservation. It was a long weekend. It was busy. We ordered our food at , had to ask for more water, asked where our food was a few times, had to ask for cutlery and bowls... then the final time we...asked where our food was, the waitress said there are still a few tables in front of us. We said we have now been waiting for over hour for food... the waitress said we should have know as we could see the restaurant was busy. We were about to walk out (as the couple next to us did) and our food arrived. It was delicious but never going back due to service and wait time. I could see a lot of disgruntled people also waiting over an hour for take away.
The town was pretty empty when we ate here midweek and we arrived early but took heart from someone leaving as we entered when the waitress said See you next week to them. At least they have regulars. The decor is cool if you like...old school chinese restaurants which I kinda do. There was a single young waitress working that night who was excellent and the food came promptly and was really good. For a bit of extra nostalgia I had a sizzling dish and we shared special fried rice and a bottle of wine. All in all very enjoyable and the food was very good, well cooked and juicy not at all dry.
The lunch special at Golden Dragon offers great value. Our server was excellent and organized, ensuring minimal wait time for our food and quickly clearing tables for new diners. Our party of 3 ordered 3 different meals, all of which arrived at the same time. We were able to have uninterrupted conversation in a quiet environment. The service was good, the food was nice, the atmosphere was great, and the price was reasonable. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

My dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic. I highly recommend it if you are in Batemans Bay. The staff consisted of one waitress and a runner, both of whom did an exceptional job. The waitress handled takeout orders and attended to everyone in the restaurant, taking orders, serving drinks, and clearing tables with a smile and ease. She truly is an amazing girl and the restaurant would not be the same without her. Well done!
We had a lovely meal here, the waitress very friendly and prompt when asked for extra ice...the chilli in my dish was a bit too hot for me...my fault as I knew it had chilli in the dish ! It has a large menu with...meals to suit everyone. The wee spring rolls were crisp and FRESH. This restaurant also takes the dining vouchers...no problem when asked and then we noticed they have a notice on the front door saying vouchers welcome.
During the holiday season, we decided to order takeout from this restaurant. Despite the busy atmosphere with both dine-in and takeout customers, the staff handled everything smoothly. I give the food a 9 out of 10 and the service a perfect 10 out of 10. The Chinese takeaway was pretty good, well-seasoned, and came in generous portions. The prices were reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend this place!
The food and service have always been good, but I have noticed the last few times I have been there, the meals have got considerably smaller and the prices have gone up substantially. A Chinese sized bowl of chicken and sweetcorn soup Less than...a cup of soup...sorry a bit ott

This is the only Chinese I will eat in town. Though I usually get take away it was a great night out with friends. Service was prompt, food was delicious and price was great especially in these days of price hikes everywhere, keep up the good work guys
Typical Chinese Restaurant. Had a quiet ambience. Extensive menu which was a little pricey. Food was average. They had quite a lot of take away orders so we assumed that this place was well liked. Overall had an okay experience.
