We recently had a fantastic meal at this charming pub, which we hadn't visited since the new management took over. The food was delicious from start to finish, and the portions were so generous that we couldn't even fit in dessert. We started with a tasty Prawn Cocktail and a rich Camembert dip. For our mains, we enjoyed the flavorful Ribs and a juicy burger made with local meat from Haighs farm. We also tried the Lamb curry on another visit, and it was highly recommended. The chips were also outstanding. Lynne has put together a fantastic menu, and the food is definitely worth a visit for its great value. This restaurant meets expectations. They offer a great selection of authentic, well-maintained real ales at reasonable prices. It's a cozy, traditional English pub that is definitely worth a visit.
This is our local, a show lucky are we to have a microbrewery so close by. It has 5 or 6 real ales plus bottled Belgian beers and a couple of regular real ales. Comfy pub. Nice staff. Great beer.
