I remember years ago I would order from this same store at least twice a week so I decided to order today. The food was just not good at all. The shrimp egg roll taste like plastic and the Tofu (bean curd) appeared like it was being recycled. I just threw away my whole $16 dollar lunch. First, the delivery service was the best part of my experience—the driver was friendly and very polite. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The dumplings were the worst I’ve ever had. The chicken curry dinner special was awful; it was mostly onions and peppers, and I could barely find any meat. There was no spice at all, and the chicken that I did find was poor quality. Even the spring roll tasted bad. I’d recommend saving your money and trying a different Chinese restaurant.
I order from No 1 Taste often, but their beef and broccoli contains only about four or five small pieces of beef and mostly broccoli. They give you a large portion of fried rice, likely to make up for the low price. The beef teriyaki was disappointing, with very little meat visible. Overall, this is a poor-quality Chinese restaurant. I would recommend trying Golden Gate or the place off Eastern instead. It seems the owners don’t take pride in their food.

The shrimp was not cooked or cleaned properly, and overall, the food was disappointing. Even though the restaurant is only an 8-minute drive from my workplace, it took over 40 minutes for my order to arrive after it was supposedly on its way according to Uber Eats. I understand that they may take their time with cooking, but after waiting nearly 2 hours, I expected a much better experience.
I had a highly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The delivery driver brought my food but failed to collect the payment. When I reached out to the restaurant about this issue, they shifted the blame onto me. After several hours of back-and-forth communication, I finally managed to resolve the payment problem. To make matters worse, I ended up with food poisoning.
I haven’t dined in at No 1 Taste, but I frequently order delivery from them. The food is tasty with generous portions. The shrimp roll is especially delicious! Their fried rice also stands out—it doesn’t have that artificial flavor that some other Baltimore spots have. However, the quality can be inconsistent at times.
I had an awful experience! They didn't follow any instructions at all. The flavor of the Singapore noodles was lacking and disappointing. Does this noodle look hot and spicy from any angle? I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.
