This was our 1st time eating here was highly disappointed (especially after reading the raving reviews) traveling 45 mins. Originally made a reservation for 2 people 6pm~ called to see if can change it to an earlier time, which they had no problem doing. When we got there, they couldn't find my name/asked if it could be under a different name?! (even tho I gave them both my 1st/last name), I found it myself on their list/pointed it out to host. We both got the pasta wheel, which was good, but not worth $24 price tag/serving size we were still hungry after! My father being a 1st generation Sicilian, saw this Sicilian Kitchen and said, let's go try it! When we walked in, it was a little busy. We did not have reservations but we were seated quickly. Our waitress asked if we had ever been there and since we were not she explained she would bring us our bread with dipping sauce and a complimentary salad. Both were awesome. The food was excellent. As soon as we were seated, they provided us with an assortment of olives, salad, bread, and olive oil. The food tasted amazing and fresh. Our server was a nice kid, but he was very busy, so our service was very delayed, which was no fault of his own. The place was packed, which is great for the restaurant, but the seating was cramped. It was a very cozy environment, almost as if we were eating at a family members house. We were a party of 4 and if anyone from the table behind or in front of us would budge, you felt it. I’ve been here before on a week end but wanted to experience the melting cheese wheel with the pasta. Unfunny, that is only on Sunday now.Nevertheless. Auden, our server was exceptional. He provided good recommendations. He was vey personable as well as attentive to our table. The food was excellent and the portions were large. All four of our party took home a good portion of our meal. We shared three appetizers among us; stuffed squash blossoms (outstanding) pistachio burrata and calamari. Totally a very different experience with the food and service from what other people had in the reviews! Couldn't get the attention of the Waiter do to him having a conversation with another Waiter. He could not recommend, we called the owner for suggestions. The pasta prepared in the cheese wheel served with 4 tiny slices of bacon,was tasteless and expensive. I saw him prepared it, he added too much water. Omg never again, none of us ate the leftovers, which were a lot. What a waste my money!??
Food was absolutely amazing. Adorable little place, very laid back and very good meal. It is BYO so we even got to bring out own wine. Will have to come back again soon. FYI, the seasonal menu is definitely worth trying.
This place is a gem! Amazing and fresh Italian food served in a cozy atmosphere! As a proud Italian American, i can tell you this felt just like grandmas kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. bellissimo!
