'Special, extra spring roll. '. You can never go wrong with that phrase. Being introduced to 'Norm 's Noodles ' around 7 years ago has been one of the best dining decisions ever. <br/ <br/ I 've never actually had anything at Nutana Cafe other than the noodle bowl special. I mean, really, how can you go wrong? A big bowl of chicken, spring rolls (the best), vegetables and rice noodles (doused in Sriracha sauce, obviously) for $9. It got me through high school and has cured numerous hangovers and hunger-pains. <br/ <br/ Highly recommended. Nearly all patrons are return/regular customers. Understand Norm 's sarcastic nature and you 'll be golden!
The noodle bowl special is the best in the City and the best I've had. If you don't know Norm he may take you off guard, he has a dry sense of humour and is witty as hell. He has ran the business for a long long time, those who know him love him and his customers are long time repeat customers. It is a rare occurrence that I am in Saskatoon and don't stop at least once for a noodle bowl with extra spring rolls. If I could eat on meal for the rest of my life, the noodle bowl special would probably be it.
Don't Hate, Appreciate.. I love eating lunch here, always have, always will. Just reading all the negative reviews about Norm's service makes me want to go there ASAP. I can go there hungover as all hell, wearing sweatpants, order the special and a hair-of-the-dog... I don't have to throw on a fake smile to some barely legal server that is flashing an even faker smile in hopes of a fat tip...Think of it like you're eating in Norm's living room...and it is costing you less than 20 bux.
Good cheap food, and norm. The foods your standard vietnamese, when i went to nutana collegiate i would always come here for a noodle bowl special and a beer, one of the best bowls in town, but norm doesnt have customer service, hes quirky, and thats just a part of going there, also dont expect to go there to eat with anyone who doesnt plan to order, cuz he wont let them take up space, so weird, but tasty and cheap Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
What a guy. Norm, you really are one-of-a-kind. A warning to people who have never been to Norms.. please don 't be offended, and expect quirky off-beat service. The noodle bowls are awesome, also the curry norm. Most people get the 'special ' which is the same every day.. lol..
This place is quite possibly the best noodle bowl place in Saskatoon. I have sampled many other Vietnamese restaurants and they don't come close. What makes it the best, is Norm's awesome sense of humour. He is more like the weird uncle than a restaurateur .
Good Food. Were hung over this afternoon and so picked up some Lemon Chicken, Chow Mein and Fried Rice. Very delicious!
