Would fully recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for some fantastic, traditional Portuguese cuisine. Very reasonably priced. Passed the Main Street and walked just down the harbour and found this little restaurant that was packed full of locals. The waiters were very friendly and very helpfully swapped so the English speaking member could help us, as our Portuguese was very basic! The menu is small with fish and meat choices. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the deliciously fresh fish from the traditional cod to “squid to die for!” Finished the meal with some lovely deserts as well as some coffees which were topped off with some complimentary traditional alcohol of some description which...
Had a very interesting menu and a number of specials, this along with a great view of the river and docks made it an easy choice for a late lunch. The prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent. My wife and I shared a grilled squid platter special plenty for two the squid was excellent, perfectly prepared. The table wines were good and inexpensive. The restaurant was very busy and service was as good as could be expected. Overall good food at very reasonable prices.
Take care when you order because an unexpected overprice is waiting for you...,12 sardines 28€. Full Scam! Food quality and service is not at all balances for the price. Dessert without price... it is not recommendable at all. It has been the worst experience in Viana do Castelo.
Viana do Castelo is a good place to make a short visit! It’s very small, but is cute! We had lunch in O Garfo, and it was really good and tasty! The Codfish costs about 12,50 euros for one person, and it’s a good portion! We also had Alheiras that were good! I recomend the place! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

The restaurant is located clsoe to the river in a nice area. There you can have some fresh fish with a good quality wine. The service is fine as well, and the price is not high. A good place for a good and calm lunch.
