As soon as my party and i sat down, our waitress was right there to ask what we wanted to drink, didn't have a chance to even think or look at the menu. We weren't quite sure what we wanted so unfortunately our waitress didn't even take our order until almost 10-15 minutes after we got there. When we did give her our order, she questioned us on everything we wanted. She only asked if everything was ok once but insisted on filling up on our drinks. But not checking up on us in general. Had to ask for a to go box and our ticket. My other 2 people were done eating where I wasnt and she wanted to take my plate away where clearly I was still eating. Out of respect I'm not posting her name.
My sister ordered a steak medium well. She ate the edges, but the rest of the steak was bloody. I had a well-done cheeseburger, which I expect will be a little dry. I couldn't swallow it; it was too dry to go down my throat. The flavor was okay, but the meat was devoid of moisture. We informed our waiter, who was a wonderful, friendly server; we enjoyed his outgoing personality! He apologized profusely but did not offer any remedy. My sister could barely eat this huge, bloody steak, and it remained on her plate. Half of my burger was left as well. We realize now we should have spoken up immediately. Next time, we will.
Consistent. We can count on Good food . Ribs , Fish , Hamburgers .. Pleasant service . Picked up and for the most part Clean . Although the tables should be sanitized after each service and the Cloth that is used to clean with is Filthy . This Cleaning Cloth and the Cleaning Sprays should be kept out of sight . Not left in the Dining area for all that use the bathrooms to see . I'm a Transplant Survivor and that concerned us . The table had a film and felt sticky. The food as I typed is always good . But sometimes served Luke warm .
I love Oakwood's pulled pork sandwich! I ask for pickles on it and Bam! a flashback to Dairy Queen's discontinued BBQ sandwich from my younger days. YUM! Add their awesome onion rings and I am super happy. M dinner companion enjoyed the ribs, had enough to take some home. Their sandwiches are huge and the price is average. Server was super nice. I personally have a problem with eating among dead animals, I could do without the taxidermy ... thus a lower score for atmosphere from me.

The waitress was the only thing good about this place! It smelled like fish instead of barbecue! When I used the restroom they were disgusting ! We ordered corn nuggets that came out burnt. The fries taste like fish and that made everything taste like fish. My husband and I were craving barbecue. Don’t waste your money at this place!!! You’re better off going to Sonny’s!
First thing I wanted when I arrived in Fl was a Good Ole Burger!! Oakwood did not disappoint. My burger was excellent and i got bacon crumbles with it, the fries were delish! and Ashley was great! The menu is not extensive but it covers all the bases and has something for everyone. Thanks for a great first meal!!
This is the best restaurant in the area hands down. I've have come here since this place has opened. From the manager down to the staff, they are number one. Never a bad meal, comes out fast and everything on the menu is exceptional. No one in the country has better ribs.
Excellent food and service. Ribs were delicious and super tender. The iced tea was perfect and came in a huge glass. The prices were amazing. Thank you Taylor for taking good care of us.
