This is my first negative review as I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I used to love dining at this restaurant. The first time we came, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious dragon rolls. However, on our second visit today, they actually asked us to leave because we had a 2-year-old child with us. They informed us before we sat down that he couldn't be seated because he wasn't vaccinated. We even showed them the official page stating that the vaccination requirement is only for children 5 years and older, but they were so concerned about upsetting other customers that the chef rudely told us to leave. I offered to explain to anyone who complained, but the server was too...
My dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic. Initially, we drove by without noticing it, but quickly turned back and were welcomed warmly by the staff upon arrival. The menu had a wide variety of options, making it difficult for us to choose, but the hostess provided helpful recommendations and explained each dish. When our food arrived, we were impressed by the presentation and the delicious taste. From the miso soup to the specialty rolls, beef box, and dessert, every dish exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again the next time we are in town. 10/10 stars!
The sushi was good. I enjioyed the various unique rolls they had. I've been having nightmares about the miso soup though. They give you this thin cup, but a standard size Asian soup spoon. It doesn't fit and you spend so much effort to get the tiniest bit of soup. I couldn't even drink the whole thing because i was so upset about the design decisions that went into this. Overall, would recommend.
Cozy interior, polite and respectful staff, quick and efficient service. Authentic tasting. Udon 3 stars Sashimi 4 stars Tonkatsu 4 stars They have Sapporo beer which is always a plus and they gave me a small glass when I asked for it (yes it matters to me). The restaurant is easily accessible from the airport hotel we were staying at. I would go back again and try their other menu items
Insanity. INSANITY!! I'm a huge fan of sushi and I've been to MANY sushi locations. Oba will be very difficult to beat because of the quality range of selections and the beautiful ambiance. The prices are a bit above average but the dishes are worth every penny! This is a destination restaurant for special occasions. You wouldn't tell by the exterior. Don't let that full you

Fast service. Very good sushi. The ice cream is delicious. The spicy sushi combo with soup and salad is very filling. The tempura with udon was a highlight. The rolls did not even need soy sauce. Everything was very filling.
The food was extremely fresh and delicious. The waitstaff was very attentive. We will definitely be coming back since there were so many items we were unable to try.
