Update your menu!We went here for brunch as the menu said the Newfoundlander had toutons included. I called in advance to make sure they had room and were indeed serving toutons.We arrived, ordered drinks and food at the same time. There were 3 tables sitting at the time and only one server. Our food arrived before the drinks water, coffee and mimosas). The drinks came about 4 minutes after the food was placed in front of us.I ordered the Newfoundlander and it was set up like a eggs benedict without sauce.English muffin, stacked with bologna and a fish cake. Regarding a review from today, August 31st, from Raji Narayan, I can't help myself. Internet world, take into consideration entitlement! If you walk into a restaurant and it's busy......you have to wait. I was present and happily waited for good food and good service. If the establishment is busy and service happens quickly, I'm sure you'd also complain about quality!Be better, the service, staff and food is worth the wait!
Don't waste your time or money here.The service was terrible overall. Our waiter was incredibly dismissive and rude, and we were made to wait 2 hours before receiving our meals for a co-workers goodbye lunch. The place wasn't even that busy. The food was ok, but the terrible service is not worth your time or money. There are plenty of other good respectful businesses in the downtown core to enjoy. Avoid this place.
We kicked things off with calamari as an appetizer, and it was packed with flavor. I also tried a kombucha drink for the first time; it had a unique taste, but I enjoyed it. I can highly recommend OCCO, and we plan to return, especially since there are plenty of other dishes on the menu to explore. Edit: I'm raising my rating from 1 star. The food finally arrived after 1.5 hours, and it was actually enjoyable (we had tacos, chowder, and fish and chips). They also gave us a 50% discount on our bill.
Great service, even better menu lots of east coast inspired items and includes many options for vegetarians. Well thought out cocktail list. Good option for the downtown area.
