The new owner of "The Old Mill" is really trying hard to make your stay a nice memory. Most of the food is made right there and not shipped in, frozen. The week end breakfast buffets are definitely a must try. It is not a cheapy, but worth paying for. When we were there the last time, as a couple, we were greeted with cheers and paid personal attention to. We both had fish. I tried the trout and Marilyn had fish and ships.Marilyn is very fuzzy when it comes to this meal but was impressed how well it was done. The fish was even home battered. I had the trout filet. This place is very popular with the locals which is always a good sign. As far as breakfast goes, the buffet had a pretty good selection but I thought it was pretty much standard issue in terms of taste. Nothing fancy or outstanding although I'm sure if you are a BIG eater you'd find this place a good value. The price however at $45 for two including coffee, orange juice, taxes and tip was too much for my liking. Neither my wife nor I are big eaters so I didn't feel it was good value for us. They do have regular menu items but being the weekend we were cautioned that the focus was on the buffet and that al la carte items would be 20 minutes or more.
We had lunch here on Sunday and decided to order from the menu even though the buffet looked really good. It was very busy but service was very quick and efficient. Between the four of us we ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich , BLT and the Club House. I have to say they were all good with fries but by far the Club was probably the best I've ever had. So good with a full chicken breast on it. I was hungry and it took all I had to finish. We will definitely be back. What a great place.
We were visiting Gravenhurst for a few days and the Old Mill was recommended to us. We were treated to an amazing meal. I had the open Roast Beef sandwich, which was piled high with tasty tender beef. My wife had the clubhouse sandwich made with a chicken breast. Both meals were 5 star. The food was very good and it was hot. The only thing I thought was not right was the server was sweeping the floor while we were waiting for our food. There was a lot of sand but it could have been done after, and she could have came and asked if our meal was good or if we needed anything else. But over all the food was good and we will go back for sure.
We had an excellent dinner, and the kids ordered breakfast which they serve all day. People, the portions are huge, and the quality good too, you won't be disappointed. Interior is very clean and service is great. The menu gives plenty of options, and the prices are fair. Nice to see a non franchise restaurant doing a great job all around. We will be back
Place has lunch specials and the fries are absolutely delicious (home made). They have a kids menu and offer kids colouring books and crayons to keep them busy while they wait for the meals. Note there is a buffet brunch on Sundays which makes this a busy place.

Great place to go for breakfast lots of selection in the buffet for breakfast and lunch.Everything was hot and fresh . Would defiantly go back.
