Incredible disappointment. My daughters asked what meal I’d like for my birthday, and I asked for Chinese from Old Peking in Oakton. I went online and made a list of my choices, my mouth watering, longing for some really good Chinese. Sent the list to my daughters and as soon as the food arrived, I dug in. The idea was a feast that I could enjoy for a week, so many different dishes. I served myself a big platter and joyously dug in, to discover in minutes, I might as well have bought frozen Chinese at the grocery store. For NYE, my family and I ordered take out from Old Peking and it was delicious. We ordered (2) spring rolls, (1) pan fried dumplings, (1) hunan beef (spicy) and (1) Peking duck with large plum sauce and extra pancakes. The Peking duck was amazing as it’s been a few years since my family and I have had it and there was no disappointment here! The skin was crispy, the entire duck was sliced and placed into a container and for the few who might be curious- yes, the bones were included so that collagen bone broth can be made later. My family and I were ravenous and I forgot to take pics so I will reorder all of this again just to take pics of the delicious food and just to have more Peking duck....
We ordered three dishes on Friday night. Pork fried rice, shrimp with lobster sauce, chicken with mixed vegetables. The food came out in 5 minutes! Even though the restaurant was empty. We got headaches within an hour of eating from the MSG. We got stomach problems Friday night. The food must have been under cooked. Throwing out leftovers obviously. To be fair, we have eaten here before and this is the first time it's happened. Make sure your food is well cooked!
I’ve been getting food here for 20+ years and the food is still excellent. I moved out of the area for a few years but was pleasantly surprised to see that the quality level is still high, portions are good, and the food tastes fresh. I got the take-out steamed pork with mixed vegetables. The vegetables are cooked well and still nice and crisp (but not raw). It came with brown sauce that I mixed in before taking the photo.

I have never encountered such a hostile atmosphere in a restaurant before. When my friend asked the server a question about the menu in a quiet tone, the server told him to speak more quietly without providing an answer. The level of arrogance and hostility was unprecedented. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Avoid dining here at all costs.
Great service, food, and ambiance. The restaurant is quiet, clean, and has lovely decor. This is not your typical Chinese American food. This is traditional, delicious and perfectly balance Chinese food worth every penny. The servings were perfect for family style or individual eating. I will be coming back again and again to try more of their dishes
My friends and I went to this restaurant to eat, and when we inquired about a specific menu item, one of the staff members rudely asked us to lower our voices. We left immediately, shocked by their lack of professionalism and arrogance. If you enjoy their food, I suggest getting takeout, but I personally will never return to that restaurant.
We went there for a dinner with coworkers. The place is nice and the food will not disappoint. All of the food was delicious.
