Attention out-of-town visitors: proceed with caution. We entered the diner and sat at the bar for over 15 minutes without being approached to place our order. What was particularly frustrating was that the server attended to three locals who arrived after us. When I brought this to her attention, she only giggled and laughed off my concerns. I requested to speak with the owner, who was not present, and the supervisor on duty refused to address the issue as well. I was advised to return the next day to speak with the owner. I can assure you that this is how they treat all out-of-town guests. Save your money and dine elsewhere in town where they actually value your business. The old town diner...
The sign outside read "Fish and Chips," but unfortunately, the menu has been reduced due to various challenges stemming from the post-COVID era, including staffing shortages. The small team of two at the diner makes incredible hamburgers and delicious homemade curly fries that are simply amazing. The cook even prepares his own unique fry sauce, which is delightful! I decided to go for the chicken tender salad, and the portion was more than enough. We were actually hoping to find some seafood while in Valdez, but we thoroughly enjoyed the burgers and salad instead.
Literally like an Old Town Diner atmosphere. Be ready you have to serve yourself drinks and get your own condiments but they bring you out your food. So it's like McDonald's but you're expected to tip. The food though was amazing so I tipped only for that. I hope the cook got the tip. Worth it though!Wheelchair accessibility: Long ramp for wheelchairs. Though inside may be tough to navigate. Everything was close quarters.
I enjoyed the burger I had here. Ordered to go to get back to work and it was ready in 10 minutes. The lady who was there when I picked up was really nice and friendly. I'll definitely return and try some more dishes. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Wheelchair accessibility: I appreciated the open layout, making it easy for wheelchair movement. There’s a bench table right at the entrance, and everything is spacious and clear for navigation.
The burgers and fries were quick and delicious, and the atmosphere was really relaxed. I did miss having a sassy waitress to engage in some playful banter, though!
The food was delicious, and the staff were fantastic! The next time we come this way, we will definitely make it a priority to visit this place again.

Fantastic burgers! The meat is hand-pressed, and they generously load up on the veggies. The fries are excellent as well.
