We went to On The Rocks last night. It was great atmosphere and the staff were absolutely fantastic. They made us feel so welcomed. They looked after is really well. Ok now the food: the steak was fabulous. The quality of the meat and fish and prawns was top notch. The salad was really good and the fries seemed to be were of unlimited supply. Which made us all very happy. I really enjoy cooking my own steak on the rock. The manager explained everything to us clearly and gave us free shots after the meal. It was going down as one of the best nights in Yarmouth.
Lovely experience. Cook your own selection on a hot rock. Lovely modern decor. Very friendly attentive staff who explained how to cook on the rock. We opted cor surf and turf for two. It was such a tender Chateaubriand with scallops and King prawns. All supplied with bottomless fries and Greek salad.A lovely relaxed evening.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access from pavement one small step up. Accommodated my table request.
We went on a Monday evening having booked. Lucky we did as it appears to be very popular and was nice and busy. We were served by Sarah who was great and a credit to the business. We opted for the surf and turf meal for 2. The steak was amazing and a very generous serving. The salad and chips were great. Its a great restaurant and we all visit when sailing around the Isle of White.
The quality of the meat wasn't as expected for the price (the bottomless fries and salad don't compensate for it) and the fact that there's no need for cooks as you basically cook your own meal. The place gets really smokey and, definitely, is not children friendly.I won't recommend it unless you like to pay to bbq your own food.
They squeezed our family in despite no booking on a busy bank holiday evening. Amazing service, polite knowledgeable staff. Not the cheapest place to eat but what an experience where you cook your own food to your liking on your own personal hot volcanic rock!
We visited on Saturday night and everything was perfect, food amazing and service was just The Best , have booked again for September as the next time on the island
the food and service are excellent here. on a slab of stone at 400 degrees, cook her eating as they want. I recommend the filet steak.
Incredible meal, such a treat whilst we were visiting yarmouth. Highly HIGHLY reccomend.
Nice food which you cook yourself... I think it's pricey can be incredibly hot and noisy
