I have to say, the customer service here was excellent. Coming from Great Yarmouth, which I consider the home of fish and chips, I have high standards. Unfortunately, Great Yarmouth has lost some of its charm over the years. My partner and I have both spent years cooking this classic dish, and I can confidently say that the fish and chips from this place are very good. However, I wasn't a fan of the chips, as I'm not particularly fond of blanched ones. Aside from that, the service was impressive. I arrived on Isle of Wight Saturday and didn't have any food (as awaiting online shopping order). Decided to order fish and chips for tea. We were not disappointed, we ordered at 5.55pm and picked up our order at 6.30pm. Food was of very good quality and sufficient to satisfy our hunger. The scampi was delicious and so we're the chips, so would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Service: Take out
Ordered Cod Chips twice with 1 mushy peas. We live down the road. The chips were disgusting! They looked brown but we’re raw inside. The mushy peas fell out the pot tasteless and anaemic. I think it’s fair to say I will never order from them again and in the Winter it’s only the locals that keep them in business. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner
This place really shines if you order in advance turning up without an order means you could wait up to 45 minutes at peak times. Really good fish and chips though. We will be back again. I ordered cod and chips and I can say that it was the worst I had in a long time . The batter on the fish was soggy and oily and the chips brown, flaccid and oily . The staff were wonderful and the food was great. I ordered takeout for dinner, and the price per person was very affordable, ranging from £1 to £10. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a perfect 5!
