We were on our way back from a day of exploring beautiful Brisbane, heading for our hotel and decided to give one fish two fish a try. It was just after 5pm and we were a walk in as in no reservation. That seemed to put off the person who greeted us but after a quick huddle with the gal behind the bar he showed us to a table for two. At this time we were the only people in the front section of the restaurant. The table we were shown to was the worst table in the restaurant. From my seat my view was of the kitchen. We assumed that we were given that table as we did not have a reservation. Minutes later another couple arrived who also did not have a reservation. They were shown to a table for...
Normally, I don't write reviews unless someone asks me to, but this place is so delicious that I'm really impressed, so I'm writing a review. The battered cod was truly the most delicious fish and chips I've ever had in my life, and I had raspberry sorbet for dessert, and my friend and I were shocked after taking a bite. It was so rich and fruity that it was delicious The atmosphere of the store was very pretty, the staff was friendly, and everything about it was good. It's a great atmosphere for a date, and I think it would be great to come with family on a special day! So, the price is a bit high and the quantity is not very large, haha, but I am satisfied as it is delicious.
Dined for lunch whilst visiting friends. We ordered the feast of the crab 5 course banquet special for $49pp. Great value deal. We enjoyed crab croquettes, tempura crab stuffed zucchini flowers, soft shell crab charcoal baos, prawn ravioli with crab sauce finished with vanilla pannacotta with salted caramel. All of the 5 courses were delicious with a variety of tasty crab flavours. Special mention to our waitress Masami who was fantastic. Her service was very friendly knowledgeable she made our lunch catch up very enjoyable. Recommend this place will definately return when I'm visiting Brisbane again.
Finally went to check out one fish two fish last night for some dinner. We ordered: steamed charcoal Bao buns, spanner crab croquettes, fisherman’s pie, quarter flounder burger, cone bay barramundi and the grilled salmon.<br/ <br/ All the meals were pretty tasty. The restaurant has a mixture of cheaper eats and expensive meals. The venue is very nice and is set in an old Queenslander style house.<br/ <br/ Figured we would give it a try instead of going to our regular fish and chip restaurant. Overall pretty satisfied. Ordered takeaway from this great little spot tonight, have been wanting to try for a while. Ordered the BLACK SALT PEPPER FAST-FRIED CALAMARI HUNKY DORY BURGER, Absolutely delicious!!! Excellent seafood bar/restaurant. Food was delicious; we had the quarter flounder burger and the baby whiting dish really nice, great coleslaw. The staff were lovely; very attentive and friendly. Love the atmosphere and vibe of the place. We will definitely come again.
