The service is appallingly slow . It took c50 mins to deliver 1 course to the table in a very quiet restaurant . At no point did the serving staff update us , or apologise for the delay . The food , when it eventually arrived could best be described as adequate. My vegetarian wellington was in fact a thick sausage roll like piece of pastry with a bland filling . When I raised the issue re the long wait , as I paid the bill £c60 for two main courses and water I was simply told sorry about that. I frequently host business lunches in Edinburgh but I would not go back as neither the food nor the service made for a pleasurable experience
Attended as an anniversary gift. Sheer indulgence. Lovely ambience with the jazz band set up. Gorgeous window table and courteous staff. Food was amazing, would have perhaps liked additional meat choices i.e chicken/turkey but to be honest there was so much other choice I couldn't eat what was there! Would love to come back for another occasion.
We had a nice lunch in the bar, a fairly limited menu, but what we had was very nice. Service from the young waitress was very good, and as I had advised at booking it was a birthday celebration, we were presented with a nice plate of chopped fruit and chocolate.
Excellent service with good quality food. There is a very good choice of dishes for all courses and a comprehensive wine list. The restaurant has a calming atmosphere. I strongly recommend ding in the one square brasserie.

The menu is somewhat limited and expensive. While my fillet steak was excellent, the rest of the meal did not justify spending £140.00 for two meals and 3 glasses of wine.
The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Thank you.
Please reinstate the buffet every Sunday it's a great family option and there's clearly demand for it!
Bought it is on voucher, food was way above what i was expecting. Will definitely buy again.
