One day, I came to work with box braids that my friend had done for me. I had just clocked in and was doing my job when the boss came out of the kitchen. He yelled at me, saying he couldn’t accept my appearance and that my hair wasn’t professional or suitable for his “fine dining” establishment. Essentially, he implied that cultural hairstyles were not welcome in his restaurant. He also commented on my outfit, which was a bit oversized, but that was only because I didn’t have another fitted black shirt. However, my pants and shoes were appropriate for the setting. What a delightful and unexpected surprise to find this relatively new restaurant! We have long decried the lack of original and nice restaurants in the Newburgh area, which makes Orange Hill quite a find. The service was extremely good; the food was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely no blaring televisions or noisy bar crowd. Orange Hill is located in the former Neptune Diner location, but the new owners have completely transformed the interior into a very nice, quiet space, perfect for a romantic dining experience. There is still some construction going on outside, but not during dinner hours. All and all, we were extremely pleased with our experience, and will definitely be returning!
This restaurant is absolutely delightful: the food is delicious, the ambiance is elegant, and the prices are reasonable. We tried the cauliflower fritters, which were expertly prepared. The vegetarian menu was impressively extensive, offering a variety of great options. The interior decor is warm and inviting, with fresh updates that enhance the experience. The staff members were attentive and pleasant, making our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely return! The vegetarian options, including the cauliflower steak and fritters, were superbly executed.
Recommend by a friend therefore made a special long trip for lunch checking it out with my spouse. We went many times across the street for shopping but did not notice the restaurant. Anyway, the decor seemed appealing with the menu providing international cuisines. Ordered one seafood sampler and a chicken parmigiana with pasta. Wow is all I have to say. Delicious cuisine, clean restaurant, great service. The Mango Chicken was Indian inspired awesome. Pork chop was great for my GF hubby. Vegan options too. The ambience is terrific here! Very kind staff, decorum spectacular! And the food very pleasing to the pallet! The swordfish was mouth watering good. The food availability varies with many vegan and gluten free options on the menu. My husband enjoyed his steak while I had a gluten free choice. The waiters are helpful and service was great. It has a Mediterranean feel. Very good meal. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
