I have to highlight the exceptional service from the staff I met by name: Diana, Emily, Claire, and Rose at the front desk, who greeted me with smiles and were delightful to chat with. Lincoln, the porter, was always just a call away, ready to chauffeur me around the resort in the buggy with a grin. Steve in the restaurant made me feel welcome at every mealtime, seating me at the best table with stunning views. Chef Matt crafts amazing dishes at Osprey’s Restaurant, and you absolutely can't miss the Spanish Mackerel for lunch. And let’s not forget Guy, the bartender—the cocktail maestro! WOW!! We wish we'd booked more nights instead of staying in Cairns first, it was just amazing. We stayed to attend a wedding and it was the perfect place. The staff were wonderful. We had the breakfast included and it's a great start to the day. The open air restaurant is very different. It reminded me of being in a treehouse with its views. Kicking back on our balcony listening to the waves with a drink the travel exhaustion just melted away. We'll stay here again if we come to FNQ it's worth it. Keep in mind though if you stay anywhere in the north in the summer we have box jelly fish so beaches are out however Thala has a number of beautiful pool areas to enjoy.
Everything is beautiful peaceful-the food is sensational the staff are lovely, professional friendly. My son has ASD being conscious of other guests, we pre-order meals the kitchen staff are terrific -having our meals ready upon arrival as per our request so we can eat return to the pool, our beach house/beach quickly allowing other guests to enjoy their time at the lodge also before our son becomes disruptive
What an incredible place! As locals, we often drop in for drinks on our way to Port Douglas, but I must say it's definitely worth booking an overnight stay to truly enjoy the jungle and the stunning pool. The restaurant is full of delightful surprises as well. The staff were friendly, and the food was the best we've had in years! Thank you for making our weekend unforgettable! A great spot for some alone time...some couple time or family time. Loved the bungalows. Loved the little beaches to relax at. Sunrise and sunset are very much covered. Highly recommend..... love the flora and fauna. Photographers dream
We stayed there for two nights it was an amazingly beautiful place! The food was fabulous and I especially enjoyed the breakfast watching the beautiful birds coming to bathe in the bird bath!
Thala is breathtakingly beautiful! Our bungalow was roomy, had an amazing view, and was a minute walk to the private beach. The staff are wonderful and made our honeymoon lovely and relaxing.
