Christine was an amazing server. Knowledgeable and and on point. Food was amazing. Just wasn't in love with the location. Didn't realize it was in the Double Tree Hotel until we arrived. The hostess didn't find our reservation at first. I told her we made it on Open Table and she said “oh we didn't check that, I guess”. Which wasn't a problem because we were the only ones there at that time. Choice of music was off. Loud country and western music just didn't go with an Italian restaurant. I would go back because the food and service were good. Will try their Willow Springs location next.
I am thrilled that the restaurant has recently reopened! After seeing the amazing Easter brunch they had, I immediately booked tickets for Mother's Day. We stayed at the hotel over Easter weekend and heard that they were fully booked. Fortunately, we were able to dine there the night before. I am already looking forward to returning next month. I managed to take some photos so I can request to be seated in the back room next time - it was lovely with the plants and intricate walls and mirrors. The ambiance was truly beautiful.
The menu is a bit small, but my server was exceptional and went above and beyond to assist me! The food was decent, however, a portion of my chicken was undercooked. In all honesty, I believe the prices are a bit high.... especially since an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill, which I find unfair. I decided to tip my server extra because he deserved it, but the rest of my party chose not to tip more since they felt it was already included, and they would have preferred to tip 20-25% on their own.
I recently visited Illinois and decided to try Osteria based on a friend's recommendation. It exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is delicious (my top picks were the Roasted Salmon and Spaghetti with meatballs), and the staff was very welcoming. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would rate it 10/10.

10/10 for the service and drinks! This place has amazing servers/bar staff, but their menu was trash. We ordered 4 different dishes and none of them were good. The appetizer was decent. Let your great service staff make some money and get it together! Visiting from out of town and spending over $200 for subpar food was a big disappointment ????????????????????????
We have been here several times— each time was outstanding— the owner came by our table several times asking if everything was to our liking— once giving us a complimentary desert and another time a charcuterie plate! He is very personable! Waitstaff is also excellent. We always have delicious leftovers for the next night! Highly recommend.
Highly recommend eating here. Great atmosphere and food. Four Cheese Arancini, steak and brick oven pizza was delicious. Chocolate cake was great my daughter loved the ice cream. Husband enjoyed the Old Fashioned.
We went with a group of eight people.The food was delicious, everyone loved their meals. Plent to take home.We're going back next month with 14 people. Can't wait.Mary

The service here is very attentive and friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. The cocktails are top notch and make sure to leave room for dessert!
