Ousler's Sandwiches

Ousler's is a Birmingham classic! I knew that it's been around for as long as I can remember, but I learned during my visit that they've been in Birmingham since 1915! First, their staff was very kind and welcoming! I've had their finger sandwiches many times at events and parties, but I didn't realize that they also have boxed lunches that you can pick up during the week. The boxed lunch is a great, cheap option for lunch. It comes with 1 sandwich, golden flake chips, deviled eggs, a brownie and a drink all for 5. it's just a sandwich. grow up in the south my whole life, I don’t get the “taste of the old south”, perhaps the taste of the south before the segregation, when everyone was finally influenced to other aromes? it's one of those places I never found out. rich people here seem crazy about it, but every ordinary man who eats there thinks for the first time.... that this is just a sandwich. my theories have always been nostalgia, or this is rich people growing up when their mothers have not learned to cook. certain respect before price, family owned and operated place. but how can one dame knock the guy who says: "fit for a 4 years old," I had a cosmic brownie in my lunchbox?
