I ordered a chai latte, which should have been a simple choice, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. It lacked flavor and, surprisingly, there was no real chai taste at all. The foam on top was decent, but it's clear this place doesn’t understand how to make a proper chai. The atmosphere was nice, with a modern urban vibe, but at the end of the day, a coffee shop’s success hinges on the quality of its beverages. I have nothing against them personally; I just call it as I see it. I would consider giving it another try, as everyone deserves a second chance, but the baristas who made my drink left me feeling doubtful. Making a great chai isn’t that hard! Have been here many times, and it has usually been great except yesterday. Came in 20 minutes before closing and all the chairs were up like it was closed. Staff didn't seem happy to see 3 customers come in 20 minutes before closing. We ate there til 6 butthe atmosphere was very uncomfortable. If you are open til 6 pm, then stay open til 6 pm. Once it's 6 pm, then lock up and don'tserve anyone. But let the people who came in before 6 enjoy their meal. Or have a take-out only policy after 530 pm. Was leftwith a really bad taste in my mouth. all smoothie shells are vegan (except the bee pollen on magic smoothie shell, just leave) all brot for toasts are vegan, only not the gluten-free bagels/toast. all the toasts are vegan without laughs, and no honey on strawberry toast. we also have vegan fresh cheese! Coffee flavours that are vegan with mandels, oats, soy or macadamia milk are: vanilla, caramel, mocha, maplepecan, matcha, kokos matcha, curkuma latte, chai. smootheien are vegan (only no bee pollen on blue universum) and ask for plant protein instead of molkeprotein for smoothies! all juices are also vegan.

This place serves incredible coffee and espresso! One of my top choices is the oat milk latte to go, although I’ve also enjoyed dining in. The espresso is always perfectly brewed, never too bitter like what you might find at Starbucks or Dunkin'. The milk is frothed to perfection too! They even create charming latte art on every cup, including takeout orders! A unique feature here is that they provide reusable ceramic cups and plates for dine-in customers. I went to owl and lark because I heard that it was a cute smoothie shooting place that is a rare one in the outer chicago suburbs. it has so much character, but not much space. there are always limited seating places and the prices are a bit high, especially as there is a place that many high school and college ages go. it has something for everyone and a surprisingly diverse menu for a place that focuses mainly on smoothies and coffee.

I absolutely love visiting Owl and Lark. I've been coming here for a few years now, and they never let me down. They offer something for every season: smoothie bowls in the summer and pumpkin matchas in the fall and winter. If you're in the area or searching for a relaxing coffee shop with great food, this is the place to be!
