Palais Oriental - Tisch resevieren

Schönes Persisch/Mediterranean/Indisches Restaurant direkt am Genfersee. Wir waren hier am späten Nachmittag nach einem Besuch in Chateau de Chillon. Die meisten Restaurants waren zu dieser Zeit nicht geöffnet zwischen Mittag und Abendessen. Wir riefen an und sie luden uns ein, vorbeizukommen. Wir waren damals die einzigen, so dass wir besondere Aufmerksamkeit erhielten. Ihr Essen ist außergewöhnlich hochwertig und macht den hohen Preis wert. Sie bereiteten glutenfreies Brot für uns sehr geschmackvoll und gute Textur. Der gemischte Salat war genug, um 2 zu teilen und Garnelen Curry war zu sterben. I feel ripped off! The most over inflated prices I’ve ever seen. We had vege curry and couscous and the dishes were not good/tasty/quality at all. I felt like they’d used the cheapest frozen veggies from super market and watered down sauce. We complained about the poor quality of the food, but were not offered any discount. The manager wouldn’t come to take care of the situation he/she was on a break and told the waiter to just make us pay the full price. So we paid 82chf for the two poor dishes and a small bottle of water. Fair price would have been no more than 40. We’re never going back and definitely not recommending this place. It is located right on the promenade along the lake, with large open windows. This restaurant offers a good service, in a professional way and in an ambiance reminding of the Middle East with its nice décor. The views are wonderful and the portions just the right size. The dishes taste good although a bit expensive, but this is to be expected due to its location. We were also offered free small dishes on the house at the beginning and end of our meals. Recommended.

Meiner Meinung nach handelt es sich hier um ein gewöhnliches Restaurant der "Mediterranen Arabischen" Küche, obwohl sie sich als iranisch positionieren. Das Design ist angemessen. Das erinnert mich an Belgien oder Frankreich, mit einem Wagen und einem kleinen Karren. Leckere einfache Gerichte, viele Gäste, Preise etwas zu hoch. Der Service ist in Ordnung. Wonderful Lebanese restaurant with gorgeous views of Lake Geneva. Sit outside if you can. Food was good quality and service was good. Views of the lake really put the restaurant over the top. We were only in town for a few hours on a train stop and had plenty of time to walk to the location and have a nice meal and walk back. Be sure to catch the statue of Freddie Mercury nearby if you’re so inclined :

Ein großartiges Restaurant, in dem man wirklich köstliche iranische und libanesische Gerichte probieren kann: Meine Familie und ich gehen seit 30 Jahren dorthin und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Wenn Sie gerade vorbeikommen oder einfach nur Lust haben, empfehle ich dieses Restaurant sehr, das wirklich einem orientalischen Palast würdig ist! The view from the terrace is exquisite, the food is absolutely delicious and good looking, the decor of the building is stunning, the waiters are very friendly, the bathrooms are clean, everything is perfect. I would come here every day if I could. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at.

The food is rather average and the menu is limited to mezzeh and the various persian kebab, with very few other dishes. The portions are on the smallish side. Considering the very high prices, and the very nice location I expected a lot more
