Had dinner here with family - our local club for 5 decades ... Bistro food has never improved in all that time ... they have kept the same miserable rude people working there and the food well - what can I say ... for years Mum and I stuck to Chilli Prawns & Boiled Rice (simple). The other night we had some sizzling dishes (no sizzle at all on the plate) - horrid Asian sauces - meat (dodgy I reckon) ... You know I kick myself because I return with family year after year for that odd meal and the staff have never changed, the food has not changed, the service is just the same - bad food. Venue is nice for a club - the waitresses in the bistro are nice - the bar staff and club staff are fabulo...
I have been dropping in about weekly here or there for a take away meal after work. I noticed the price has increased and containers different over the past few weeks but tonight i asked for my usual take away and informed almost $11 more than last week which would have cost $25.30 for take away salt and pepper prawns and fried rice. I spoke to Sydney who is in charge who was not at all helpful, apparently most old people would prefer boiled rice which does come with the meal. Another person was also upset the few minutes i was there....they have lost me and family and friends, it was convenient and i bought a wine and played the pokies for about half an hour but not again....good bye Ryde E...

DAS MACHEN SIE IHRE EIGENE NOXLE GROSSEN VOLLSTÄNDIG, da die Portionsgröße massiv ist. Im Allgemeinen nicht zu beschäftigt am Wochenende Mittagessen, anders als überall in Eastwood. Leider kann Aroma ein bisschen getroffen und vermissen, wie manchmal zu salzig war, aber gut, aber gut, wenn Sie nach einer günstigen Mahlzeit suchen, ohne dass sich die Menge umgütigen.
The restaurant impeccably kept to the time schedule that they needed to fit into for the function organisers.Alternate meals were served for all courses.Pumpkin soup and prawn cocktail for starters; steak versus chicken thigh - each with crisply cooked seasonal vegetables. Bistro with a nice clean environment. Prices range from $8 for burgers and $14 for asian dishes. The make your own noodle is great value as the serving size is massive. Generally not too busy on weekend lunches unlike everywhere else in Eastwood. Unfortunately flavouring can be a bit hit and miss as at times it was too salty but good if looking for a cheap meal without the crowd hassles.
Looking for a great Chinese (or Australian) meal with great service, look no further than Golden Hawk in Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club. I have never had a bad meal there. A great range of dishes to suit everyone. Great value for money, especially if you join the club for an extra 10% off the price.Train (Alight at West Ryde)& bus to the door, makes it easy if you are a visitor without a car
This is an in house Bistro that offers predominately Chinese food, however there is plenty of "Australian fare" on the menu as well. I eat there at least twice a month and have done so for at least 8-9 years. Food is always good and plentiful plus the prices are very realistic I can thoroughly recommend it.

A meal for two will cost 30 dollars for members. Food such as the schnitzel, fisherman's basket tastes like generic frozen food deep fried. Nice staff but terrible food, sorry.
