Having only dined at high-end restaurants, I have come to expect excellent service and quality food. However, my experience at this restaurant surpassed all expectations. The service was impeccable, with a friendly and efficient staff. The operation ran smoothly like a well-oiled machine. The food was truly exceptional, with each dish bursting with delicious flavors. The salad bar offered a fantastic selection of tasty options. I cannot wait to return to this restaurant as it has quickly become my new favorite spot. I only regret not trying it sooner.
The food here is amazing, you are able to eat as much or as little as you want. The meats are top quality and expensive cuts so you do have great value for what you receive. Any time I visit Edmonton I have to go to Pampa. The salad bar is great as well, my favorite things beside the meats are the broccoli apple salad, the cheese buns and the mint dressing (I use it as a dip for the beef and pork and it's divine). Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys buffet and who enjoys trying new things!
My partner and I indulged in a date night and had a fantastic dining experience. The salad bar was excellent. The Gaucho's brought around a variety of meat skewers to our table for us to choose from. The only downside was that if you are seeking a quiet, intimate dinner, the staff visit your table frequently due to the unique service method. Additionally, the price is a bit high.
Our waiter was excellent she did a great job accommodating us and was super friendly. The meats where all extremely salty and hard to eat which made us leave early. Some of the servers for the meats skipped our table to attend to the table behind us not sure why? Our card was on green. Food was expensive for the value. $136 for 2 people for overly salty food. Fell flat in the experience. We went a long time ago, and enjoyed that first experience. Probably didn't enjoy because we had a mid day meal. Food was tasty, but not really worth the cost. I would hope the evening is more lively and buzzing. I hope the salad bar doesn't look as sad in the evening for the extra $20 more it costs to dine at dinner.
The food was tasty, but the overall experience was underwhelming compared to our first visit. I believe the time of day should not affect the quality of service, especially when paying $45+ per person. A great dining experience should be consistent regardless of when you dine.
Love the concept and fire-grilled meats are fantastic! The staff are friendly and attentive. The buffet of side dishes, salads etc is huge with many delicious choices. Don't fill up on it though!! Leave room for the fabulous stars of the show, MEAT!!
