My partner and I dined at the Panda Express in South Plainfield, NJ, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, around 8:45 PM. As is typical during dinner hours, the restaurant was bustling with patrons waiting to place and receive their orders. When we approached the food bar, I noticed that many food items were nearly depleted, and the guests ahead of us—around 10 to 15 people—were all waiting for fresh dishes to be restocked. I hesitated in making my selections, as I didn't want stale items, while also being mindful not to crowd the other customers.
A young lady at the food bar was assisting us and was quite patient. She relayed our order to another server named Apple, who then commented to the youn...
So the door opens at 10:30am, my wife and I decided to grab a quick bite we went our separate ways. We walked in and they told us it 's going to take 15-20 mins cook the food...OK not a problem we waited but as we were waiting the lady that was supposed to be putting the food out was more concerned about setting her own food to the side. Yea I get it they were unprepared for opening so I 'll let it go but then out of nowhere the lady catches a attitude and speaks rudely why you still standing here, what do you want I ignore it and kept it going. We get to the cashier and he also wasn 't ready, he was just getting in 25mins after opening showing that he doesn 't want to be there and not speak...
I finished working out and was going to go to Panda Express for dinner. I showed up there at 9:35 even though their website says closes at 10PM. I asked the lady inside, What time do you close? She then proceeded to tell me 10 o 'clock, but did not serve me. If you are not going to be serving food at 9:30 then you should not be advertising it that way. On top of that the lady was being rude like it was supposed to be closed. Very unprofessional and bad way to run a business.
Every time we go the taste use to be very good and we like having Panda once in a while. But last Monday we went there in the evening and ordered 2 plates seperately, but felt some stock food was given. As it felt some tint smell we thought that might be leftover food or mixed food from left over rice. Sad experience and we dont wanna visit again to Stelton road. May be the maintenance or chef has changed not sure but this is the first time we experienced this situation.

The food was absolutely terrible. I would not recommend this place at all, especially considering that they serve such revolting meals to customers. The dishes were stale and spoiled. I can't believe they thought anyone would actually eat it. This restaurant really needs to be inspected by the health department; it would surely fail a health check.
Please ensure that online orders are ready at the time indicated when placing the order. My order was supposed to be ready by 8:20 PM, but I had to keep asking the staff until 8:50 PM. If there's a delay, it would be helpful to let customers know ahead of time. It doesn't make sense to wait for so long right in front of you.
The food was delicious! The Orange Chicken and Honey Sesame Chicken made for the perfect snack. The Chow Mein on the side was also tasty. They offer healthier options as well, making it a great choice if you're looking for something fresh and nutritious.
I drove 30 min just to taste Panda Express after 3 years, but I was so disappointed with the quality of the food. The noodles tasted dry and smelled bad…I guess they fried the noodles and the meat in the same oil….they both smelled
