A birthday do brought us here. As other have said, it won't be winning any awards for its ambience. 9 of us for dinner on a quiet night with only one other table occupied. I have never seen a Thai waitress more disinterested in what was going on. There was no offer to help us open our beers so I went back to car to get a bottle openner. Later in the evening, my wife went to a lot of effort to organise piles of dirty plates but not a word of thanks and no smiles were spotted this night. The fish cakes that were served were burnt and dripping in oil- they should have been binned! That said, some of the other dishes were delicious and serves were reasonably generous. Ordered Chicken wings, "Masman" Beef, Pad thai and satay chicken skewers, 2 orders of rice - $51.50"Masman" beef was nothing more than terrible beef stew. Kind of tasted like massaman beef but not really. A little bit of sauce, well water, was in the stew but it tasted like it was half finished. Really bad. A 7 dollar pre-made meal from woolies would have been better. Chicken wings were overfried chicken wings.Satay chicken skewers were made with chicken breast so it was dry. However the sauce on these were pretty good.Pad thai was weird. Mainly noodles, bits of chicken and thats about it. Wok it up is better, and cheaper.Pretty terrible meal all together, at a semi premium price.Will not go...
The food was good and very tasty. Went there with two friends for their $9 and $10 lunchtime deal. The restaurant is run by the chef, who does everything by herself. No waiting staff during the daytime and she runs the restaurant well. At the end of the meal we were anticipating a bill for around $30, however, the bill presented to us was $54. When we questioned the owner she stated she gave us the non lunchtime menu sized portions which do not include rice. The rice for the 3 people was $7.50 and the meals were between $14 and $17 each and not the $9 - $10 options for lunch which includes rice. Very disappointed and finished our meal on a sour note.
This restaurant has a wide choice of menu options, so many that it was difficult to choose. My wife and I eventually settled on dishes that were elegantly presented, were made from good quality produce and were well cooked and combined with delicious sauces. The proprietor was welcoming and we discussed, at some length, his strategies for ensuring high quality fresh ingredient selection from his local suppliers. The restaurant, while small, was cosy and intimate and was furnished with an intriguing array of thoughtfully-selected ornamental wall hangings that produced a relaxed and engaging ambience. Well worth a return visit.

This is a small, modest establishment with just five or six tables that is run by a family - looks like dad at front of house, and mother and son in the kitchen. (Son also waiting tables.) It is quite nicely decorated though would not say ambience is in abundance. Where it does best is with its food and its prices. Good array of Thai meals made with fresh ingredients and served up in good-sized portions. And inexpensive - eat-in meals are the same price as takeaways. Meal was a bit bland - maybe catering for local taste buds. Next time will ask for a little more chilli to be added to the mix.It is not licensed.
It's a funny place this, the decore and ambience aren't great, it's a dingy old premises but they've made some attempt to pretty it up Thai style without doing any substantial works. The food has great flavour but is a kind of rustic version of the kind of Thai that many in Australia will expect, heavy on in-season vegetables which is closer to how the Thai's actually cook once you get away from the tourist restaurants. The servings are generous and the service was fine but a little hard to judge as there wasn't a lot of patronage. I'd just get takeaway in future.
The quintessential small Thai family restaurant! Thought I was back in Thailand with the atmosphere and offerings! The service by family members was warm and efficient. As for the food, it was plentiful and authentic. No loads of sugar here....just straightforward authentic Thai food from Isan province.....the jungle curry and the somtum and larb salads were terrific. This spot does heaps of takeaways too with increasing clientele. The place is a good counterpoint to large, commercial Thai restaurants like Lemongrass.
My husband my brother and myself went there last night..my entree was overcooked and my main meal was tasteless. The service was not good...I said hello to the waitress and she just gave me a stare...not at all friendly...I had to go to the counter just to get any service..won't be returning.

Food is lovely and the prices are awesome. It is a lovely quiet place to sit down and have some great food. Our book club meets there and we can hear ourselves talking with no background noise.
A quiet little place, love the thai decorations and mementos on the walls. Relatively cheap and generous servings - plenty of leftovers. The vegetarian pad thai was particularly delicious!
