Pappadeaux's Houston Hobby Airport First I'm not really sure what gate I was at I just know it wasn't anywhere close to gate #2. I got a chance to sit at the bar and I was welcome by bartender Mr. Dominique 5. This guy's multitasking level is epic. How he was able to keep up with everything that was going on around him was unbelievable. Now for me not liking seafood and at one of the most famous seafood restaurants. Mr. Dominique recommend me get the bacon cheeseburger. I didn't take a picture of the second one but I had two . This bustling Cajun restaurant at Houston's Hobby Airport will be closing in early to mid-May 2023. I absolutely love their Greek salad, which you can also find at other locations of Papa’s sister restaurants. I highly recommend the seafood gumbo and any of the fried seafood options as well. Tony, the bartender, provided fantastic service and was very attentive, even with a full bar. He mentioned that he will be staying on with the new bar/restaurant that will be opening in this space in May. Be sure to tell him that Steve from Louisville and Dave from Pensacola sent you! The food is great, and the service is top-notch. Make sure to try it before it disappears from Hobby Airport in May!
We had to try the food here prior to returning home, so we stopped by at the airport location. We had fried calamari as an appetizer, it was so good we forgot to take a picture. My husband had the Shrimp Scallop Orecchiette Pasta and I ordered the Shrimp Etouffee. Both meals were delicious. We sat at the bar and I asked our server if the Etoufee was spicy because I didn't really enjoy spicy food. He got me a sample for me to try before we placed our order. In my eyes that going above and beyond what he had to do. Even though we visited a smaller location than their actual restaurants the level of service we got was superb. Definitely glad we got to try their food before heading home.

Was starting to stress over a long delay on my connecting flight when I discovered this restaurant and what a great find! Pappadeaux is possibly the best chain seafood restaurant in the country and while I knew they had outposts throughout Texas I had no idea there was one at Hobby. While it didn’t cure my flight delay, it made it much more tolerable!
Second time in ten years I have eaten here Airport food is typically expensive and disappointing Not so at pappaxdeaux Great selection of really delicious food served by people who care We had a long day traveling from Costa Rica and to get this quality a meal in an airport was the high light of the day Give it a try you will not be disappointed
Certainly a decent airport stop...my waitress seemed to be in a hurry, so that was a disappointment. Got the fried alligator which was cooked to order and tasted a tad salty to me. Also got seafood gumbo...it was decent, I personally did not love the roux but I'll absolutely stop here again and try something different.
Be sure to request the Cajun seasoning on the fries—it's a refreshing twist on flavor! The place can get quite busy, but the attentive staff ensure that everything runs smoothly for travelers in a hurry. Keep in mind that prices are higher since it's located in Hobby Airport. I had the Greek Salad. It was not a traditional Greek salad. They add celery, green peppers, and other items. Dressing is more oil and vinegar. I asked for drink, a glass of wine to be placed on a separate check, and it wasn’t. Other than that the service was good.
