Tonight was the first time I've eaten here despite walking past the place hundreds of times, literally hundreds of times. I was quite impressed. Ceviche was very good. It's served with a tiny portion of chips, but when I requested some additional chips I learned that the ships are actually fried fresh. They would pick me up a new tiny portion of chips, and I finished off the ceviche. Halibut with shrimp was also excellent. A moderate size portion of halibut encircled by some small shrimp covered in a very tasty red sauce. All of that sitting on a bed of cauliflower rice. it tasted so good, I think I could have eaten a portion three times larger hint, hint. Service was very fast and friendly....
Third time dining at Pappo, first time dining in the parklet. Great experience they did an excellent job with their parklet and it was so pleasant to be outside on a nice evening eating great food while enjoying a bit of the street scene. My husband had the burger (decent), and I had the gnocchi with tomatoes and corn (delicious). We split a Caesar salad (decent), and saved just enough room for the flourless chocolate cake w raspberry sorbet a good call. Friendly and responsive service. Will return!
Take-out dining from Pappo tonight was the highlight of our day! Food was fresh with the usual quality ingredients. Started with mushroom soup and butter lettuce salad. Entrees were JP Salmon filet with a fragrant chimichirri sauce and pasta Bolognese. Bread pudding with caramel sauce to share for dessert. Portions were generous and easy to heat and plate. Pre-paid by phone and our meal was delivered curbside with a smile and a heartfelt thank you. Candlelight dinner for two at home!
Long.....very long.....super long wait for the food. Portions are small (considering their prices . Ordered a burger and it came out bleeding (actually not kidding!!! , blood coming out of the meat running down the bun. Girlfriend ordered the pork chop and by just looking at it I could tell it was over cooked. Very disappointed. It really made me not wanted to go back ever again. First time there and also my last time!

Chef Thiel put together a tasting menu for a Coprorate Holiday event and I have to say… It was extraordinary! Service was on point, the food was out of this world good and he and his teams’ professionalism and attention to detail was incredible. Our folks already asked us to do it again next year. If your looking for a personalized experience call Pappo and be prepared for the most amazing dining experience.
Staff are very friendly and attentive. My friend had the roasted peach salad that she loves. I had the duck sugo with pasta and it was delicious. We tried the duck liver pate and it was also good. I really like dinner a Pappo's. Nice outdoor seating and relaxing atmosphere.
I worked here for 7 years and it was magical. December 31st 2021 was the last night they were open and I was blessed to be here for the last hurray! Thanks for the memories Boss
Love Pappo, the cocktails are always awesome and their burger is the best on the island. I also love dining in and look forward to returning!
