As the food started to come out, only about half of our group had received their meals when the server mentioned that the owner specifically wanted us to settle the bill since we were seated outside. My ex insisted he would pay only after everyone had been served, which I personally found reasonable, as it’s customary to pay after a meal. Ultimately, he went inside to pay because he is kinder than I am.

This charming little breakfast and lunch spot never fails to impress. We first visited six years ago, and during that visit, my son, who has sensory sensitivities, had some trouble with his ice cream. Both Michele and Parke quickly noticed and addressed the situation. For years, Parke's was the only restaurant my son felt comfortable dining at outside of home, and we treasured our family dinners there. Didn’t even get to experience the food, walked in and immediately felt uncomfortable. There was a sign that said please wait to be seated so we waited and the waitress yelled something to us, wasn’t sure what she said then came around the corner looking at us like we were complete idiots. It was our first time there so we did what it said “please wait to be seated” so that’s what we were doing, we figured out she was yelling for us to sit down somewhere. We proceeded to find a seat but the tables were too small, we had a big party. We decided to leave and the waitress was yelling through the whole restaurant asking if everything was ok. As for the food, their French toast is the best around! The kids always go for the pancakes, which are as big as large platters—huge portions! My only complaint is that they stopped the outdoor music, which was such a lifesaver during COVID. We loved sitting outside, ordering food, and enjoying the live performances. That was fantastic! Overall, I’d rate Parkes Place a solid 10/10. It’s friendly, affordable, and delicious!
This is where you want to end up for breakfast. Close enough to the casino to warrant the trip or to hit it on the way in out of town if you didn't lose all your money there. The breakfast sandwiches were phenomenal and the coffee hit the spot as well. Very much looking forward to our next trip back.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. What was advertised as a $7.50 burger actually cost me $14.75, and it was absolutely awful. The fries were equally bad—soggy and unappetizing. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for decent food.
We have dined here twice in the last year while passing through, and both times have been fantastic. The food is excellent and prepared exactly to our liking. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
