I used to be a fan of Parks Barbecue, but my recent visit on May 28th was disappointing. I no longer live in the city, but I do attend church there. After church on Sunday, I decided to stop by Parks. The website stated they open at 1pm. I arrived a little before 1 along with several other people who were waiting outside. A little after 1, I called the restaurant and a rude lady answered. I asked her what time they opened and mentioned the website said 1pm. Food was good, not great. I wanted fall off the bone ribs. I got chewy ribs stuck to the bone. They were edible but expensive. No place to sit. None offered its a take out only.We had to eat the sloppy ribs in the car. Very messy. Will not go back. Service was acceptable only. I struggled to read the menu through the glass while the girl watched only to find a menu by the window inside the server area. It was not offered even though she saw me struggling. That really was rude on her part even though I asked if there was a menu to look at. She pointed to the wall. I can't rate the food based on her actions but it did dampen my visit. I was so hungry for good BBQ. Total visit was dissapointing
I read the reviews and I still ordered from here today because this is my old hood. I ordered thru a third party.My order was wrapped tightly , the lady was nice on the phone and I called her about three times because I couldn't get the app to work and every time she was polite. Try to give people a chance some days are just a bad day. Taking a lot of orders can be stressful. Most people from my old community is lovely, and so is this barb-q at PARKS.I wish the peach cobbler was bigger. I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered beef ribs, but they had very little meat and were overcooked. I only received three bones instead of the four I was supposed to get. The potato salad seemed store bought and the greens were bland and tasteless. The chicken was average and the pork ribs were also disappointing. I only came here because it was the closest BBQ restaurant to where I was visiting, but I regret my decision as it was not worth it.

The food at this restaurant was not up to par considering the prices. The Mac and cheese was oversalted and lacked seasoning, appearing to be prepared on the stovetop rather than baked. The chicken wing dings seemed to be frozen wings that were simply deep fried. Additionally, they forgot to bring me bread. The atmosphere was gloomy and the portion sizes were small.
My favorite place it has GREAT BAR B QUE AN CHICKEN THE SIDES ARE WONDERFUL PLACE IS CLEAN WORKERS AN COOKS ARE GREAT BEEN COMING HERE SINCE I WAS VERY YOUNG MOTHER BOUGHT HERE UNTIL I WAS OLD ENOUGH TO COME MY SELF BEST PLACE COME VISIT I BET U WILL BE BACK MAY GOD KEEP BLESSING PARKS BAR B QUE AN THERE WORKERS AN COOKS KEEP THEM SAFE AT ALL TIMES .
I been coming to PARKS since i was a child and things have been getting worst since..Worst service in the city ...im all for black business but this business has no repsect for there customers..deciding when they want to sell there sauce separately ...worst service best sauce...timenfor them to pass the company to a organization that can keep up...
Beware!!! I ordered a whole slab and it was cut!! Gave me a extra set of small bones (like the tips)!!! and cut the long ones off!! If you’re going to raise your rates at least give what I paid for!! Wish I’d taken a picture! Food is good but not getting what was paid for!Food: 3/5
