I don't think I'll be ordering from this restaurant again. The first dish I had was the seafood scampi with peppers, and it just felt incomplete. The second dish I ordered was supposed to be shrimp skewers, but they were missing. I can see that this restaurant has the potential to be a great alternative to other Italian places in the area, but the food really needs to live up to the pictures and descriptions they offer.
I probably won’t be ordering from Pasta Americana again. The seafood scampi with peppers felt like it was missing something. In the second photo, I meant to highlight the shrimp skewers, but they didn’t arrive on skewers at all. Pasta Americana has the potential to be a great alternative to other Italian spots nearby, but the menu needs to match the quality and presentation shown in the pictures and descriptions.
Once the servers finally set aside their phones, they might start to notice why you’re there and try to offer some service. The restaurant’s habit of having managers who do everything except manage has turned it into quite a unique place. I’ve heard they’ve added BBQ to the menu—I'm curious to find out if it’s as smoky as the air near the entrance, thanks to groups of chain smokers lingering around.

After the servers finish checking their text messages, maybe they will wonder why you are there and attempt to provide service. A long tradition of managers who do anything but, makes this a gem of a restaurant. They now apparently offer BBQ now...I wonderif it is as smoky as the air at the entrance thanks to gaggles of chain smokers.
I placed an online order for $30 worth of food but had to cancel it due to an emergency. I canceled less than five minutes later, but I was still charged $24.

"The food at this restaurant is fantastic! We did have to wait about 20 minutes to be seated since we didn't make a reservation. The service was excellent. We enjoyed a brunch meal, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. The food and service both get a 5 rating, while the atmosphere was a 4. We highly recommend trying the Chicken and Waffles and the Salmon and Grits dishes."
