I arrived mid afternoon in Le Bugue, too late for most of the restaurants so was getting desperate for a coffee and a nibble. Glad in the end that I was too late for the other places as I was far more comfortable at Xavier Cauets. The two ladies serving were so nice and held conversation with me in my imperfect French. The raisin swirl patisserie was delicious, the place was quiet and in full sunshine. Lovely. Would definitely re-visit when in Le Bugue.
Very pleasant by the bridge - look for the big orange umbrellas (needed in the heat of summer). Very nice people - relaxed and welcoming. Free wifi. While there we saw a giant hornet chewing its way through a wasp. These are horrible things - called Frelon - giant Asian hornet. Called the staff - they killed it there and then. We went back to being relaxed.
This is a great cafe with some of the best pastries in town. Sometimes hard to find a seat in the summer as it has such a brilliant setting overlooking the river below and being right next to the Tuesday market. Nice coffee and ice cream and friendly staff. No sign of wifi though.
We went in to this place on our Bruno tour. We enjoyed breakfast on a beautiful morning. The food was good and tasty with a very good croissant and nice coffee. It is a popular place. Service can be a bit slow so take a paper or a book and enjoy the moment. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This is a nice, simple coffee shop that serves very good coffee and pastries. Excellent free wifi from the town hall too. Marvellous setting next to the river and next to the market. Great staff.
Ice cream? Come and test. It's a pleasure. On 10 positions, we arrived three times. Never disappointed and more with a pleasant service and view of the Vezere on the terrace.
