During our visit to Patisserie Florentine, the service was a bit amusing. A couple at another table ordered coffee and water but waited 10 minutes without receiving anything. When their drinks finally arrived, they were actually meant for a different table! Frustrated, the couple ended up leaving. Likewise, the guests next to us had to wait a full 10 minutes before someone even took their order. Be sure to catch the server’s attention, or you might find yourself waiting quite a while! :P
A few years ago, we gave up on our quest for a birthday cake because it was close to closing time. The owner was busy but still made us feel welcomed, and we had a fantastic experience. It happened to be Friday, the day they bake fresh bread, and we took some home with us. The breads and pastries here are truly world-class. Since that day, I've been making the drive from Central Jersey once a month just to pick up some treats.
The menu looked great. Wanted coffee and perhaps to check out pastries. Service is terrible. The waitstaff was plenty and the place was practically empty. Waited for the coffee at least 10 minutes. Then, after flagging down the waitress we still waitedanother 5 minutes who didn't speak English at all. There is so much potential in this place! Hope the service and foodimproves.

This restaurant is fantastic for its pastries! I'm absolutely in love with the croissants, particularly the almond croissant! The cappuccino is incredibly smooth, and I had the delight of meeting the owner, who is such a wonderful person! He’s so sweet. Overall, it's a lovely spot for breakfast, and it’s especially perfect for a great brunch on the weekend.
A couple of years ago we stopped in unannounced looking for a birthday cake. It was near closing time. The owner whipped up something in the back and we had a wonderful time. It was Friday, bread day. We took some home. The breads and pastries hereare world class. Since that day I drive up from Central Jersey one Friday a month to pick up some goodies.
My husband and I stopped in Closter and decided to try Patisserie Florentine. WOW! Everything was absolutely delicious! Our server, Mary, was incredibly sweet and attentive. The restaurant was clean and bright—truly a hidden gem. We can't wait to return for the pizza!
We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Patisserie Florentine. We tried two crepes, the Shakshuka, and the Royal Omelette, and everything tasted fantastic. I would certainly return!

French toast is not that sugary, so I like that. It takes little time, But it's worthy. Thanks for the hospitality.
