We stopped by this restaurant for lunch immediately after arriving in Illinois, and I must say, downtown O’Fallon has a lovely charm! Peel is located in an excellent spot, which is definitely a plus. However, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. On the bright side, the pretzel rolls were fantastic—warm, well-seasoned, and paired with delicious sauces. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the lackluster pizza. The crust was soggy and couldn’t hold up to the cheese and toppings, so I ended up having to eat my slices with a fork! I was really impressed by the location and decor of this restaurant—it was very inviting, pun intended. It not only looked great, but the food was also outstanding. We ordered four different appetizers, and each one was delicious. All the dishes that were served were beautifully presented and looked fantastic. My apple gorgonzola salad with chicken was also quite tasty. Even though our waitress was only on her third day, she did an excellent job serving our party of ten. Best place for the BEST wood fired pizza!! The wings were the best wings I’ve ever had. I recommend mixing Fire and Garlic flavor of the wings and it’s to die for!!
