We arrived at 6:15 and immediately informed the staff that we were attending a concert at the Regal, which was a 10-minute walk away, at 7:30. They assured us it wouldn't be a problem, as they had a party scheduled for 6:30 but would take our order at 6:45. However, at 6:45 they informed us that our meal would take another 10 to 15 minutes. This left us with no time to eat before the concert and no opportunity to find another place to dine. When we asked why they hadn't informed us earlier, the bartender simply shrugged and said he had no control over the kitchen. Overall, not a suitable option for pre-theatre dining and not recommended if you are looking for friendly bar staff.
This restaurant is a friendly neighborhood pub run by a welcoming staff. The food is delicious, especially their locally made bread which is thick and tasty. Prices for both food and drinks are reasonable. They offer a variety of drinks including local brewed ales, lager, cider, bottles, and spirits. The pub is family friendly and even has an area where you can bring your dogs. There is also a game room for those over 16 years old. It is recommended to make a reservation if you plan on dining in the evening or on weekends as it tends to fill up quickly.
We recently visited Pembroke House for Sunday lunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was incredibly delicious, with perfectly cooked vegetables and generous portions. The staff were friendly and clearly attentive to the needs of their customers. The menu offered a diverse selection of options for all three courses. We will definitely be returning to support this establishment, as the high quality of the food makes it well worth the visit.
Everyone at Pembroke House were very friendly and extremely helpful. The food was delicious, generous , nicely presented and the service was excellent. I would happily recommend a visit and look forward to returning.

We went for a pre theatre meal. Service was friendly efficient. Food was delicious, well presented and good value for money. Quirky decor in an historic building. Thoroughly enjoyed it will be back.
Lovely atmosphere and extremely obliging and friendly team working to do drinks and serve food. Great festive menu and reasonable priced food.
Lovely staff and really good food could do with information on things with dairy as there was not a lot but the food was very good
We ate in the 'Piggery ', a lovely, quirky restaurant. Food was tasty with good sized portions. Looking forward to returning soon.
